For those confused this is footage that they recorded for the movie to show how the original greek performance went. this didn't actually happen in 1999, that would kick too much ass. However even though only for the soundtrack, Infant Sorrow is a real band. they just don't exist in the real world until 2009. This could be a real band, though. All their song kick serious ass.

Infant Sorrow isnt a fake band...they were a band made for Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him To The greek...but they are still a real band...otherwise you wouldn't be able to buy there songs off iTunes....the only thing "fake" about the band is that Russell Brand's name in it is Aldous Snow

Well actually I went to their site and it says the band has only been on tour since 06 which was when Forgetting Sarah Marshall was made:Aldous Snow character created. They only play songs we've heard from that movie and from Get Him To The Greek. Itunes only sells that one album and the rest don't even show a date when they were made. Wikipedia says they're a made up band.
