Did you massage his leg after he yelped? I know for a matter of fact he was hurt, but you really can't stop dogs from doing that. It's instinctual of them to be extremely exhilarated when they sense their owners are near.

@flauterfli well my friends puppy can get hurt very easily, and she is a shiba, 1 year old, they might not be build like humans but humans and animals cant comunicate, so we can tell if its hurt or not I think it is, Tammy (my friends pup) will yap and skip like that went her leg is hurt, we can tell because she has had problems with her leg before
