Prosecutors got arrogant and too excited and overcharged without sufficient evidence. Any crime that will lead to the death penalty will have to be looked at a lot more closely. They couldn't even tell how the girl died yet they came up with different scenarios for how she could've died. That is extremely weak. They should've waited till they had a stronger case or went for a lesser charge.

This is all my parents have been watching for like...ever. I personally could not care less about the trial or it's outcome, but I am surprised she didn't at least get life. I think the problem was they shouldn't have charged her with 1st degree. Should have charged her with manslaughter or something like that. The prosecution over estimated the power of their circumstantial evidence. All in all it was a real clusterfuck of a trial. Almost like it was all put on.
