  • yes!

  • Nice playing!

  • Absoultely perfect in every way, well done.

  • I love the4 way this guys plays this. Such a dry detached sound with so little peddle.

    10/10!

  • Amazing! :)

  • very, very smooth

    10/10

  • bach on steroids

  • Just wonderful!!!!

  • This is great. Really, you're one of the best interpreters of Kapustin's music I heard on youtube (except for the Master himself). Great Jazz feel, lacking in many "classical" interpreters (yes, I read your post, and I agree).

    Please, upload more Kapustin!

  • also, you have such clarity! Especially in your double 3rds. :)

How do you get them so clear?

  • This is amazing!

You handle the technique so well (I'm learning this right now but the 3rds are brutal!) and your interpretation is great. The jazz feel you play with seems to be lost when people try to "romanticize" this piece.

  • Great relaxed time feel!

I just spent $300 on Kapustin books and all the pieces SAY something. I'll be posting soon I hope!

  • This is so great! Best performance of this piece other than Kapustin himself. And it sounds like you have really big hands, you played 10ths with ease.

  • !!Super

  • best performance on you tube. Well dan.

  • no wonder this is good, he's a jazz pianist..

    he got the rhythm..

  • Awesome performance! I am tired of listening to the classical dudes who think they can play jazz and then raping such nice pieces. But you feel the swing and the mood.

  • You voice my thoughts:) This is pure genius. But it will never be really popular, because this music displays a sensitivity to life and love, a latitude toward ecstasy that is not mainstream.

Let me also say this, the recording is magnificient in terms of sound quality!! I am listening to it with Grado high-quality headphones. Absolutely perfect sound. Thanks for this.

  • Have just started listening to Kapustin. Yours is one of my favorite performances. Many thanks.

  • Wow, you inspired me at 2:14 a.m., thank you so much!

  • You make an amazing sound with such clarity.

Have done any of the other opus 40?

  • Thanks!

Yes, I have! Hopefully in the near future I'll post them.

  • Great playing!

  • Outstanding playing! Bravo!

  • I especially like the swing feel in this performance at 2:42 and 2:51...something missing from Kapustin's recording (which is still absolutely phenomenal).

  • This is really good!

  • Amazing performance man! I love this piece! =)
