@mattsjello, I know. And I can't wait for you to build a car from scratch and show me how I did it wrong. :) Let me know when you get that knocked out. ;)
@squirrelkiller247, no worrys. :) Motor is a 350 watt motor that came out of a 36 volt kids stand up, electric scooter. Crazy gutless on 12 volts. But it's working. :) Servo is a large 1/4 scale servo from Hitec, 805bb I think it was.
@squirrelkiller247, that's part of it. The RX8 is a regular speed control for something like a 5 pound RC car. The RX8 is designed to handle up to 6s lipo or 22.2 volts. WAY more than is the norm in RC car racing. The motor is super efficient though and doesn't draw a lot of current. It's possible the speedo would take 24 volts with this load on it. I'd hate to blow it out though, on a guess. ...lol...
@Stormer94 ah i see. im currently looking into building a large scale rc, so im trying to get as much as info as possible. where did you get that motor?
@5ky5tr1d3r, actually turns great, I think because the wheelbase is so short. I think the differential out of a lawn tractor, one of the smaller ones with a .75" axle and a sprocket would be the differential of choice if that was a persons plan. :)
made the steering myself. Only thing I don't like is how the small ball ends didn't take the abuse and bent, i had to do it over with larger ball ends. When in doubt, go BIG! :)
that sucked why did i choose this vid
