  • that sucked why did i choose this vid

  • @mattsjello, I know. And I can't wait for you to build a car from scratch and show me how I did it wrong. :) Let me know when you get that knocked out. ;)

  • sorry if you covered this in your other videos, but what did you use for steering, and what motor did you use

  • @squirrelkiller247, no worrys. :) Motor is a 350 watt motor that came out of a 36 volt kids stand up, electric scooter. Crazy gutless on 12 volts. But it's working. :) Servo is a large 1/4 scale servo from Hitec, 805bb I think it was.

  • @Stormer94 why dont you run 3 batteries in series? esc cant handle it?

  • @squirrelkiller247, that's part of it. The RX8 is a regular speed control for something like a 5 pound RC car. The RX8 is designed to handle up to 6s lipo or 22.2 volts. WAY more than is the norm in RC car racing. The motor is super efficient though and doesn't draw a lot of current. It's possible the speedo would take 24 volts with this load on it. I'd hate to blow it out though, on a guess. ...lol...

  • @Stormer94 ah i see. im currently looking into building a large scale rc, so im trying to get as much as info as possible. where did you get that motor?

  • @squirrelkiller247, picked it up in a scooter I nabbed off of fleabay.

  • @Stormer94 why not run 36 volts through it ? it would be crazy awsome fast , Nice build!

  • @JMILLERPRODUCTION , that would be SWEET!

  • @Stormer94 ya they sell small 12volt scooter/deer feeder batteries at my local academy i think there $16 a piece :)

  • @JMILLERPRODUCTION , heck, for $16 it's almost to cheap to NOT try it. :)

  • hm...maybe differential would make it turn better? It would make it cost more also :(

  • @5ky5tr1d3r, actually turns great, I think because the wheelbase is so short. I think the differential out of a lawn tractor, one of the smaller ones with a .75" axle and a sprocket would be the differential of choice if that was a persons plan. :)

  • why didnt u make this toothed belt, like maybe something from a newer car's timing belt?

  • @thegenrl , chain is more manly. ;)

  • @Stormer94 haha fair enough! agreed, harleys are for women!

  • @thegenrl , haha! ;)

  • that is the top speed???

  • @slash4x4lipo , yea, kinda slow.... BUT it does weigh 105 pounds. it's a good start. ;)

  • I love how you got the tractor and mad everything yourself and didnt end up using anything from the tractor. that car is so sick great job

  • where did you get your steering and what not did u like buy a kit or take it off another car?

  • @zeekdavis11

made the steering myself. Only thing I don't like is how the small ball ends didn't take the abuse and bent, i had to do it over with larger ball ends. When in doubt, go BIG! :)

  • nice camera and car btw what camera do u have

  • i just wonder can it go faster if you wana jump it or so? anyways it looks cool!!

  • you need to mount the camera on the car. with a wireless transmiter to drive thecar with onlw a tv and the remote!

  • Nice and great man BUT u could a bigger motor and a powerful one for speed

  • nice
