  • Does anyone know where I can reach the videographer that shot this sit-in......I am looking for the source to hopefully use in a PBS documentary.

  • Leave the holiness of marriage alone or i will start a war with your groups,. Im not playing games, call your union something else, marriage is sacred to me and for many others, I will Fight you to defend her Honor. What i have always seen from your groups, always been hateful. Im not playing games call your union something else!

  • 60 people showed up? That's a far cry from the 20,000-25,000 we had protesting at the County building after Prop. 8 passed. 2 1/2 months later and tonight is the first I'm actually hearing of this event, and I'm pretty plugged-in locally in SD.

  • Well, thanks. I'm glad so many people showed up at yours then. Didn't make much of an impact either, I suppose, considering they haven't repealed it yet.

It felt good to be a part of this, no matter the number. It was the show of heart and dedication that counted, in my opinion.

  • It was't "mine", I don't take ownership of it, I was just in attendance briefly for the rally after the march. Just sayin' this event wasn't well-publicized if it was publicized at all.

  • Thank you Sanguinaryheart, this was a beautiful piece of art. Thank you for using your time and talent on this, it means alot to Michael and myself. -Brian

  • Thank you, Brian (and Michael)!

It was a very special day, to be a part of that powerful statement, sitting there in support of you and for the other couples applying.

While I'm sure that most of us would have stayed until the end or until arrest with you, I think it showed potency that there were no arrests or citations.

I know that one day this state and this NATION will wake up and see that you and Michael and every other person deserves this. I wish both of you strength! <3 Michelle :)

  • A dog is not a consenting adult, and you own your dog , but you have every right to fight for its civil rights then for its right to marry. It is America after all. Good luck

  • When your dog Buddy qualifies as a consenting adult, you've got my blessing. Until then you'll just have to get down on all fours and let him have his way with you without the license.

  • When we do achieve equality we will look back at this time and be embarrassed at how we (yet again) discriminated against a minority

  • You all make me proud to be an American. Thank you for doing this, for standing up for human rights!

  • Thank you! That means so much. I really felt proud to be an American, sitting in that room and exercising my right to civil disobedience. :)
