Hi, I my name is hypocritical tree hugger. Even though I eat meat, I am going to oppose your video because I am hypocritical. Though I do a shit ton of stuff that is terrible for the environment, I fail to realize it, and instead, hate the hunters who actually have a better appreciation for the outdoors, and treat it better. I have no life, except to eat turkey on Thanksgiving but hate you for killing it.
my hopes are one day for my kids to be able to taste the difference between a wild turkey sandwich and one that was "rassled" up from the poultry isle
60 people live in the city and think turkey hatch into nice neat white shrink wrapped packages.....60 people can blow each other and enjoy a nice hot cup of go fuck yourselves :)
Compared with the chicken processing plant this is really a pretty quick and humane kill. What a beautiful fellow strutting around, and every now and again he gets this look like, "Hey, something ain't right, here!" Watch out for the unnaturally skinny chicks, boys! They could be decoys.
@1212boochie OK dumbass, The camera (me) was filming. The camera (me) did not kill the turkey. Are you following me so far??? The shooter was 40 yards at my 2 o'clock. The turkey was 40 yards in front of me so the shot was angled away from me.
@1212boochie I always shoot my bird in the ass, Then unload on my decoys also for good measure! LOL No to me it looked like it's neck was jelly when it was flopping.
@darthvader0820 Hey Darth..... it looks like you are the stupid fuck.....you need to learn to spell. I bet you are more of a Dark Helmet than a Darthvader anyway.
@andersonlauren98 - Oh I think I was. The shooter was 40 yards at my 2 o'clock from looking at the bird and the turkey was 40 yards in front of me so the shot was angled away from me.
@rhinocalls dont u hate it when people comment on ur videos acting like they no what in the hell ur talkin about. like the guy camferg21 saying that hunting u shouldnt make the animals suffer. ive been huntin since i was 4 years old i started squirrel huntin. and now i hunt all different anmals. but turkeys are one of my favs.. but anyways that was an excellent shot it was right in the head. if anything u should have waited for him to unfan to not ruin any of the meat but still good shot.
@COUNTRYMAN223 Thanks friend. As it turned out, that turkey stank to high heaven. Turned out this bird had been shot before and had a huge gang green (sp) infection in its thigh. We took pictures, cut the beard and tossed it. What a shame.
@rhinocalls ohh i see. well it was god u killed anyways if he was like that cause if he mates with a hen the little turkeys might have somthin worng with them and u wouldnt want that. cause that would just ruin ur huntin spot.
@COUNTRYMAN223 WHAT!!!! Not sure what you are trying to say there pal. It was a short hop away from mating with a rubber decoy. Whit the gangreen it was a matter of time before it suffered a crappy death. Could have mated with a NON-decoy REAL turkey hen and had normal poults. No way of knowing this tom was sick before being shot. You've got multiple random thoughts in the same sentence from god to mating to turkeys to ruined hunting spots. Get a grip fella and stay off the internet.
It doesn't have to take 3 minutes to kill a Turkey ! You should kill that Turkey in less than 20 seconds , he's so big and he's not moving ... YOU SHOULD LEARN TO HUNT LIKE A MAN
@0500666111 From your comment I'm going to assume you're twelve years old. Hunting is not a speed competition and it does not make you a better hunter the quicker you kill something. As you mature you will learn the real enjoyment of the hunt comes from watching mother nature at work prior to the harvest. Have you never heard experienced hunters talk about the 'show' the bird or birds put on. These birds are beautiful and the longer I can watch one strut around the better the hunt is for me.
@dirk2420 very true.. last turkey season two big ol gobblers came in to my decoys and i left them strut arund for almost 40 minutes untill the one gobbler jumped on top of one of my decoys and started to attck it and i left him do that for about 5 minutes and then i plastured him. but ur nerves do get to ya when there right in front of ya but u just have to toughin it out and wait.
@dirk2420 So if that's what hunters get out of hunting, why do you kill them then? It makes you happy to take away the beauty that you're seeing? I'm not being a liberal I'm just really curious to know why people hunt.
@cowonabun Hmm, i could go down to the local grocery store and buy a dead frozen turkey, or i could get my own. I have no respect for hunters who just shoot to put it on their wall, but hunting for food is by far more ethical than anything we buy at any grocery store.
@cowonabun Ahhh, let's see, how to explain this so non hunters will understand. First, hunting is the first line of wild life management. The lack of natural predators is why. Seems people don't like Bobcats, Puma's and wolves in the neighborhood, so they kill them off. Second, Food. Far leaner and free of growth hormones. Better tasting than the chemically "enhanced" processed crap in the stores. Third, Because hunters, like me, Were raised hunting. I taught my kids and now grand kids.
@dirk2420 speaking of that sometimes when i go deer hunting i just love watching them pass through they are so stealthy, for how large of an animal they are. I usually let a few pass me before i take one. I am not one of those hunters that hunt for trophies since there are so many damn deer here in kansas. I mostly shoot does because the meat tastes better. But i have a few 8 point skulls in my house. And turky is the best i always make characters of them when they strut.
fuck you turkey!!!!!!!!!! I didn't eat any of you're relative this thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... just turkey breast ham... BUT THAT DOESN'T FUCKING COUNT!
Originally I had music from Etta James. They were OK with that and then they changed their minds. I changed music under duress and it sucked. Now the music has been changed again to something better.
@grahamrocks1 lol the thing was dead on the first shot its called nerves when you kill a snake it does the same thing except a snake curls up in a lil ball and dies peacefully not liek a tirkry which flops around and then dies peacefully
it seem to hit the neck, beautiful kill! slow and full of patience ;) Me I would shoot for the head strait when I see no other ones is coming and with the size of this one... there was no way you could get a bigger !
1. The pursuit and killing or capture of game and wild animals.
2. The activity or sport of pursuing game for food or pleasure.
These are the exact definitions of hunting from the dictionary. He seems to have conducted both forms to fit these definitions perfectly fine, since neither of them dictate how the killing is to be done, just that the objective is obtained. Hence forth, he is indeed a hunter.

Magnificent birds. Taste great too. Especially smoked. Thanks for sharing.
Pay no attention to the hypocrites condemming you for shooting an animal. They don't care that it was the efforts of hunters and hunting groups that brought turkeys back from the brink of extinction. They are the same idiots who condem oil drilling, while they drink filtered water from their plastic bottles.
@vernavideo Doing so would have run the risk of ruining meat. It wasa dead before it hit the ground anyway. What you saw was motor nerves making it flop.
They make much better decoys these days you know, but it didn't seem to matter because this gobbler was horny as hell. You must have hit the sweet spot on your turkey call. Nice shot, too!
Americans always like to shoot around feeding stations. It's like hunting at the bird feeder. You should try wilderness hunting instead of barnyard hunting...including deer.
No, they can't. You want to hit the head so it doesn't suffer and the head is a hard shot at 15-25 yards. You're a dumbass, try shooting a turkey before you spread your bullshit.
Thanks for sharing your video! I'm a 2nd year turkey hunter. How aggressive should I be calling during spring hunts? Does the amount you call change as soon as a turkey starts responding to your calls or shows up in the picture? Thanks
I'm not really a turkey expert at all. I was just there filming. Someone else could better answer your questions. The shooter was also the caller 25 yards off to my right and he used a box call pretty much the whole time until it got close to the decoy. That turkey answered way before we ever saw it and I had 5 minutes of him strutting in that I didn't use.
The aggressiveness really depends. If the bird your chasing is with a hen some lighter calling may be better, kinda as to say hey im not trying to steal your boyfriend but id like to hang out with you. You get too aggressive and she may decide they need to walk the other way real fast. I will say this, when you do finally have a turkey gobbling at you either right after you call or cutting you off, and you know that bird is coming, stop calling. He's interested and he will come.
Just resist the urge to call when he's coming. Call too much and he may hang up thinking your excited enough to come to him and that isnt what we want. Good luck!
@rageguy270 u dont wanna be to agressive... if u call to often they can pinpoint your spot your sitting and will stare u down... i had that happen this year with 2 gobblers. once they respond the first time just do a few clucks to pinpoint where they r
what was the name of that song? can you tell me please? and nice turkey by the way, the season is about to start here in Georgia. I want to give it a try, just have no idea what to do.
thanks, and what i really wanted to ask you is where/when/and how can i find me a gobbler. I live in the northern part of georgia i know the season is about to start. Tell me everything you know, any help will be appriciated, thanks.
to everyone that was a perfect shot to the head/ neck. that is where you want to hit them. The thrashing around after is much like the "chicken with his head cut off" scenario. It is not suffering more than a chicken who just took the axe. nice video and it looks like a tasty tom!!
Well I enjoyed your clip and I really enjoyed the music, well done. I hope your turkey tasted good, I've never had wild turkey ( we don't have such a bird in B.C. )
am I right in presuming that it tastes like domestic turkey ?
not only are turkeys beautiful birds, they are also a fine meal.

Americans always like to shoot around feeding stations. It's like hunting at the bird feeder. You should try wilderness hunting instead of barnyard hunting...including deer.
labandme 1 year ago
@labandme a lot of people dont hunt around feeders i dont watch 80% of theese vids and you dont see a feeder
thelongshot1996 1 year ago
i wish you will be killed like these too... that would be so funny, and the hunter could be sooo proud!

WOW you can kill a turkey anyone could kill a turkey if they feed them and they are used to being fed. WOW
iga731 1 year ago
@iga731

Thanks
rageguy270 2 years ago
@rageguy270

@rageguy270

@rageguy270
Contd:
Just resist the urge to call when he's coming. Call too much and he may hang up thinking your excited enough to come to him and that isnt what we want. Good luck!
HUNT2LIV3 1 year ago
@rageguy270 u dont wanna be to agressive... if u call to often they can pinpoint your spot your sitting and will stare u down... i had that happen this year with 2 gobblers. once they respond the first time just do a few clucks to pinpoint where they r

It is a replacement song provided by YouTube since I got busted using the Etta James song "At Last" my true love has come along.
I'll dig around and see if I can find out the name of the replacement song for you.

itachi4321a 2 years ago
to everyone that was a perfect shot to the head/ neck. that is where you want to hit them.
