If you buy one of these keep in mind that they're going to put a huge fucking logo stamp right in the front of your instrument making it look like shit. So, the unmarked ones you see her playing and the ones you see at her site which are displayed unmarked is a lie, 'FALSE ADVERTISEMENT' They mark it big as shit and don't mention that they will do so and give no incentive to assume so. Though the instrument is good so if your gonna get it anyway keep in mind that's a single1good thing at least.
Oh wow, the pictures of these are very misleading on the website! They all are much more vibrant and two toned in color, the neck strap is just beautiful (which is not shown on the web site) I received the blue triangle ocarina yesterday and was so pleasantly surprised I bought 2 more!
What is the second one you play? Pitch wise? (and the song is cute! what is that?)
I'm looking to buy a small necklace one to have wherever I go, and as a practice for a nightingale tennor that I've found out will play a song I really want to learn. Mayu's theme from Captain Harlock.
I'm thinking about getting the triangle one for my 11 year old sister. She's turning 12 in a couple of weeks, and I was wondering.. Do you think it will be too big for her to wear? She's just under 5 ft tall.
What is the pitch of the green ocarina? I looked at the description of the ocarina on stlocarina but it does not show the pitch I need to know before I think of getting it.
So if you are watching this and wondering if you should get one, I'm saying; Go for it. It's cheap, and this is propably the most fun ocarina I've had so far, just because it takes 1,5 seconds to grab it from your neck and start playing. (Ocarina playing in long traffic lights for the win ;-). )
I have been only playing 12-hole ocarinas so far, so it took some time to adjust to the new fingerings with this model. But it's fun to see the diversity when playing with this one, and when playing with 12-hole one. Some songs are easier to play with this and visa versa.
I got mine few months ago, and I'm slowly falling in love with this small piece of art. I got it because I wanted something extremely mobile, and something that's easy to carry. This fits for the purpose perfectly. First I was worried about the sound, but now I have to say that I prefer the sound of this over my 12-hole Florentine soprano one.
Well, the fingerings are completely different, so it might be difficult at first. But if you stick to practicing scales at first, it will make it much easier when you start trying to learn songs. There are tabs all over the internet for 6 hole pendant ocarinas. :)
I had been waiting to hear these! The only one I had heard that resembled them was a sopraNINO C, and that kind of put me off from them.. Glad to see they're not quite as high as that one was, though XD
those pendants sure sound and look stylish. However, it's a shame they really aren't my style though, haha. They do seem to fit your type of attire nicely, diva. :)

@senoranachos
You can rinse it off with warm, soapy water. They are glazed ceramic, so it should be fine. :)

@Anathwin It's a soprano pendant in C. It plays from C5 to E6. The song is by Sojiro, probably the most famous ocarinist in the world :)

They look very interesting! The first one kind of makes me think of a the classic alien head shape. They seem to sound nice as well.

I've wanted one of these for months now. I have a 12-hole soprano ocarina now, would it take long to get used to playing a 6 hole?

Awesome video, very helpful! =] I have a question though: is the second one hard to play because of the angle? I really like that one. =]
hazelnut1593 2 years ago
The asymmetric design is a little awkward at first but it isn't difficult. I use my 2 pinkies to stabilize pendants when I play, which helps a lot.
The asymmetric ones do have a brighter/cheerier tone and the rounder ones have a more mellow tone.
ocarinadiva 2 years ago
Wow, that third one was an ear-buster! >_0
But I really like the second one, the brown triangular pendant. It looks great and has my favorite sound of the three. =]
Bateleur5 2 years ago
Yeah, the little one is REALLY high pitched but they're so darned cute I tend to wear them the most.
The brown ones are definitely the most "Guy Friendly" :)

Hey now, I wore a bright green bloodstone pendant for several years! X)
