When I first watched this video, I never made any connection between the fact that the kid is black and that he stole their van.

Yeah, I just discovered D. Rice and FF a week ago, too. I'm glad to have found them, glad you found them, more people need to stop listening to the same old shit on the radio and find out about great bands like these. I have some suggestions for you. First I would recommend Youngblood Brass Band if you haven't heard them, look up a quality version of the song "Brooklyn" tell me if you like it. If that isn't your thing here are some artists more similar in genre: Band of Horses, Foals, iron&wine

Its because its really light and mellow but its still happy and has a great beat. The guys got a great voice and its really clean cut, its not messy and loud. It also has a wide variety of insturments wich makes it different than the normal guitars and drums. So its mellow, clean, and different. I hope that explains it for ya =)
