The K-Volt fires electrified pellets, Jess. Almost like a lightning Airsoft Gun. It drains Nanosuit energy, stuns enemies (especially aliens) and can kill them after a while. The alien you saw was a Guardian Unit. It is the boss alien at the final stages, and can cloak like a boss. Had you shot it with the K-Volt, it would have stood still and de-cloaked.

Jesse, please... when you shoot someone go out of stealth..! you are making things alot more difficult for your self, you can go in and out so fast they never know where you are, then run behind cover, regen when needed and keep popping. Sure, its fun to see you get in to some trubble but most of the time it makes me cry, and I dont normaly complain in comments on people's gameplay... :) just a tip, love the vids! :D

As someone else who used Stealth alot during his play through of Crysis 2 heres a hint. When you shoot with cloak on it drains all of your energy. At once. Which leaves you very vulnerable especially on later sections where your fighting the more heavily armed and armored Ceph.

The best way to deal with this is to line up your shot, pop out of cloak, shoot and then cloak again right after. With the right suit enhancements this can easily be a live saver tactic on later levels.
