So wats the best minion to use?

@tarheel550 As of now start off with felguard out then when you do your first meta+demonsoul+etc soulburn to felhunter then keep felhunter out for the rest of the fight. This allows you a boost on your first meta which is greater than the boost you get from felguards demon soul.

However for fights with tons of aoe your going to want to keep felguard for felstorm.

@sammuor1 ya :P sbolt macro its just sbolt combined with my engy chant so it goes off whenever its ready same with my soulfire macro

@healadin124 no was close though :) missing is the least punishing for demo than any other lock spec. the very worst thing you can miss is hog and you will still have a dps gain even if your missing 1% hit and have mastery instead :P

As afflict hit is very important and as destro it is also because you don't want to miss a conflag :)

@MrBrandonawesome15 depends on the fight my burst can be extremely high both aoe and single target. However the longer the fight the lower my dps. If I burst for about 42k single target and its about a 8 min fight my dps will end up at around 24k at the end of the fight :(

@ForgottenMemoryLost dude how did you pull so high dps? are you stacking mastery? For me i keep seeimingly unable to stack my demon mastery past 50% increased damage in demon form. is that a cap or am i just bugged?

@Atheist269 also had mastery trinket proc and have demon soul on use trinket and potion linked in to my demon form cd

What are you using to make the buffs you get come in green letters across your screen? such as Hurricane for example pls message back.

@tarheel550 just had it set in options for text to appear for buffs this was right after patch so all my addons were broken :P

thanks, i got my dps up from 11k on a dummy to 24k with self buffs

why are u using the felhunter?

@squidbilly9 I'd guess its because Shadow Bite's damage is increased by 30% per dot the warlock has on the target.

Don't you think it would be better to fight the Raid Dummy, not the level 85 one. It would be more accurate.

@JimmyTheShinobi could have just didn't lol :) it still works in raids though like just finished raiding right now did some of bot and bwd :P on omnitron I was capping at 44 45k dps but it dropped a ton by the end of the fight to about 20k :(

On mal I capped pretty high also but it dropped to 26k

We pugged 3 people today because of guild drama D: and no1 ever logging on

ill send you screens of the logs if you want :P had doomguard hit 124k with raid buffs on omni

@RuffRyding sbolt scales better with spellpower and gives a higher dps gain at higher gear

Hey I need some help. I'm currently trying to pick a pve spec for my warlock and i heard affliction drain life is the best but i really like the demo rotation. can single target demo even compete?

For single target use felhunter its a beast and crits almost as high as doomguard

felguard for aoe and succy for single target fights like atra

How well would that work in a raid setting, really? You're sacrificing a lot of hit to achieve mastery at that level - far under the raid cap. I assume that a majority of the damage done is coming from your pet. What's the ratio of pet damage : your damage.

@kneeki yeah works in a raid setting :P pet does a large amount of damage but its really not that much after 5 mins of dps doomguard did 15% of total damage and felhunter did 25%. As demo the worst thing you can have miss is hand of guldan but its still a dps increase to sacrifice some hit for damage
