the only reason you're making a huge stink about this is because if you're unionized, that will cost you money, and god forbid the people who work for you get a better quality of living. get this straight, unionization of FedEx would make the market MORE competitve, not less competitive. stop treating the public like idiots. and what the hell does any of this have to do with air safety? not a damn thing. your advertising reps should run for congress, you're just as slimey as any of them.
FedEx... you really think that low of the public? you really think we can't find out the real story, what you're trying to do? you actually think people give a flying fuck about fedex and ups? we don't. we don't give a damn if UPS bends you over and pounds you right in the ballon knot, and we don't care if it's the other way around. you act like this is an important issue that you have to blow the whistle on. nobody gives a shit. you're not helping your cause with these misleading ads either.
So, there is no other reason why people might want to help fed-ex workers form a union? Perhaps the congressmen believe that unions are a good thing and help improve workers' quality of life? This video is an accurate representation of the situation only if you believe that the only reason for unionization if to hobble a company.
Goofball, you're not fooling anyone, but your racists remarks do say a lot about Fed Ex. You think those stock shares they give you make you an "owner"? Yeah, you're a real wealthy man. I'm sure you'll retire rich when they get through with that stock.. reverse splits and secondary offerings that will leave you with pennies on the fake dollars they paid you. Hahahaha.
@goofball73us you're so ignorant and brain washed that talking to you is like speaking to house pets. You are a house pet for Big Business, living off the crumbs from the cake at the party that you'll never attend.
@goofball73us that's really funny, like the guy who has not health insurance, but cheers for his non union boss, as he drives by in a car that costs twice your salary.
@goofball73us No, That is what you are saying Goofball, because that is what an ignorant, toady who shills for corrupt big businesses would say.
I see you are also a shit kicking racist jackass... it's funny to see you identify and defend corrupt fake capitalist (CEOs, business leaders and politicians) who would not even have a beer with you, an ignorant cheer leader for the rich sitting in your trailer, eating raccoon, waiting for your ship to come in.
FUCK YOU AND YOUR SHITTY ADS. I couldn't give a fuck less about the brown bailout in the past, but now I hate whatever you're advertising and I'm on the other guys' side.
Most of this person's videos do not even ALLOW for comments.... a cheater just like Fed Ex... what's that all about? What's really going on? What are you afraid of, playing fair on a level playing ground?
Unions are still needed today when corporations find loop holes to make huge profits at the expense of the workers who make that happen for them. This is a perfect example. The rich get richer...the poor become indigent making the rich richer...HELL NO!!!
Providing services i the same manner (Fed Ex and UPS) means Fed Ex officially hiring their road drivers, providing benefits, fuel, and upkeep on the fleet they use...etc OR what UPS does not want to see happen...UPS being allowed to operate in the same manner. That is only fair,; but this would eliminate a great number of jobs to a great number of people. Benefits gone, etc.. This would prove to be devastating to to both companies in the long run.
85% of all cost for UPS companies come from fuel/maintenance, equipment, payroll, and taxes paid. UPS must pay these things. The bailout they are referring to is a lawsuit filed to have these monies refunded to UPS as the ruling to overturn the contractual obligations of FedEx freight has continued to be denied. UPS has been given a favorable ruling and continue to push to have a level playing field; where either FedEx is forced to provide their services in the same manor as UPS.
Fed Ex is under a different set of guidelines because they were initially an air transportation company. Since then, they have had no changes to their contracts. UPS on the other hand, although providing the EXACT same services in the same manor, are forced to pay everything that FedEX does not because UPS was founded as a small package delivery company.
Unions were once needed and a great idea,.....but now most are just greedy and go to far,....look what is happening in Greece,....they will all be out of a job and the entire country BANKRUPT
Government has to get out of the free market,....The free market creates the best products for the best price,......the US economy's biggest hurdle is the current administration.......FREEDOM IS ALWAYS THE BEST PLAN
Fedex Groupies should all work for zero benefits, or try to start a company to compete with Fedex and the lobbyists who make fair play, a level playing field and business ethics at joke in Washington. Everyone knows Fedex was built on artificially cheap labor, fuel and financing. It was part of the great Wall Street scam that pumped up the prices on stocks if that company railed against organized labor and good wages.
Their corrupt, stupid, greedy MBAnkers cheered the lie to pump stocks.
This video is the kind of brain washing double talk you'll hear from weepy Glen Beck and the profiteering media toadies who defend the fake capitalism that is causing massive American decline, as our wealth is transferred overseas, to corrupt leaders of twisted nations. People who support this video are too stupid to succeed in America, but smart enough to be a fan/group of corrupt business leaders and politicians who are gutting the country with fake ideas about sound economics. Foxtv Fans.
I will never use Fedex after this little smear campaign, hatched by some stupid MBA with a bright idea, and no adult supervision. UPS and the US Mail do a great job, without a lot of cheer leading from profiteering fake capitalists who favor union busting in every industry, so they can live like Mexican aristocrats inside gated communities in the US.
I'm sure you never have had the opportunity to be in a union, and I know you're not management, of anything, so I'm wondering why you are defending rich people over working people... I think you just a fan, the guy who roots for teams from the cheap seats, and feels connected when players and team owners thank the little people for paying up big.
Toadies, scabs, ass clowns and fools have fought labor unions since their inception. And yet collective bargaining remains.
@goofball73us what kind of work do you do? besides post 50 messages to the same vid. you're probably a fedex ground route owner who treats their driver like shit. you have a shitty truck to match your dispostion (yes look it up in the dictionary) and as far as your racist rhetoric, I wouldnt be surprised if you were a fedex manager of some kind. im sorry that you're like this, but the fact is, unions are crucial, and fedex needs to stop hiding the facts of their operations.
I work for ups, and it is an option to join the union, you are not forced to join it. i was a part of it but then left it. The reason why fed ex is doing this is because they know it will put them out of business. They are already in millions of dollars of debt. Doing this will have them to start paying fair wages. I worked for fed ex before i worked for ups, the pay was more but if i paid for my benefits i wouldn't make anything. Ups pays 600 a month for each persons benefits.
600 in benefits, vs. no benefits from Fedex... or what Walmart does-- shows employees how to go on welfare and get food stamps, and free government services, so society pays to keep their labor cheap. They take out life insurance policies on them and collect without telling their families.
And ignorant, ill informed, lazy group/fans actually root for them, as if they are being made rich by the corrupt acts of profiteering fake capitalists who were handed everything to FAIL!
@Rawp90Extream It must be different for each facilities then because when I applied and had a interview. I was told that it is mandatory or I would not be offered a job. I left the interview.
@goofball73us anyone who would post garbage like you is likely to ignore facts and fall for tactics like this ad...just like you did. Sad. At least you're proud in your ignorance.
Hey just because UPS Chose to deal with the Unions as it's business model, does not mean that congress can dictate to ANY other company that it has to cave into the unions, so that UPS can remain competitive. Are all of these people against this video, union trolls trying to persuade the public that unions are a good thing? Union members usually don't have the guts to go out and make their own companies, so they would rather coerce someone else that has taken ALL the risks to pay them too much.
@Agfadoc ... actually, Congress can "dictate" labor standards. Ignorant toadies and fools can deny it, pretending they are wealthy, fake capitalists, like a Fedex CEO. But you're just sad American groupie- fan, rooting for the winning team, because you think it makes you a winner. Youre not!
You sound like a child, and the worst sort of loser, the kind that denies it and hopes he too can win at a game that has been fixed for years.
Working people have a right to organize. Sorry ass clown.
@thesquonkstear Look here you pathetic groveler of other peoples money, you sound like one of those whiny little men hiding behind his keyboard in his moms basement, organize your ass into a good paying job instead of sitting on it, begging for someone else's cash. Rich people.. hahaha.. You'll never have anything because you don't have the fortitude necessary to make it happen all you do is want what others have worked hard for to get. What a loser.
@Agfadoc ... you sit there, in the middle of the day, online lashing out from your lemonade stand, as if anyone believes your false ideology ("other people's money" and "fortitude"... hahahah). Capitalism is based on "other people's money" yes. It's also regulated on many levels. It's not that free for all FoxTV wet dream in your mommy's basement.
Your pathetic predictions and judgments about anyone with the common sense to point out the lies of our corrupted capital markets FAIL (again).
@Agfadoc the only pathetic groveler here is you, who sits there at your porno site rooting for corrupt capitalism like it's a football team for which you never got to play. There is so much wrong with American and international business, and all this American decline that only a complete fool can not see it.
I don't even know what to call a guy who actually cheer leads for it. Just because you can root for Monopolists online, doesn't mean everything's fine in Kansas, Dorothy!
@thesquonkstear : Awwwwhh don't get your panties in a ruffle, sweetie.. Your socialist agenda is in play, your ass buddy is in charge.. no worries there bro. You'll have to take the money from my hands though and I don't think you're man enough to do it. I'd love to see you try, lets see who's in charge.. So what's your mom making for dinner tonight? Hahahahaha.. YOU"LL NEVER BE ANYTHING IN LIFE!! I bet your daddy's real proud. Hahahaha..
I'm against Fedex; they exploit a broken American political economy that make capital, labor and fuel too cheap.
For consumers, UPS does a great job, and so does the US Mail for a much better price. Fedex is a waste of money. For employees and share holders, Fedex is a ponzi schemel, built on sand.
This video is paid for by Fed Ex, the truth is Fed Ex wants to continue to live under a separate set of laws than UPS. UPS is the one who has an unfair disadvantage. Fed Ex is in the exact same business as UPS is why should Fed Ex live under separate laws, this video has been put together by a spin doctor turning the truth into a lie! Fed Ex you should live under the same laws as UPS so stop the BS!
You should take those awesome cartoon drawing skills of yours and get a job. Then you could just complain about your paycheck, instead of everyone else. FYI, I loaded trailers at a UPS Hub for almost a year. Besides being back breaking work with crappy pay, the Teamsters Union stole my first paycheck as a "Union Membership Fee". Then continued to steal a percentage of the following checks as "Union Dues". FedEx has a higher hourly pay rate, maybe everyone (congress too) should MYOB. . .
So FedEX has had an unfair advantage all these years and UPS is still a larger more profitable company? How is it unfair of UPS to ask that fedex be treated the same by the government? This is FedEX acting like a stubborn child.
USPS does a good job??? What have you been drinking? I have had more trouble with USPS than the other two combined! Examples: 1. two packages mailed a day apart, received 1 in four days, the second in 18 days. 2, Received 1/2 of $5,000 check "torn by unknown machinery". took 3 months to get it reissued. 3, Small package mailed from west coast took 2 days to get to state hub in New England took 2 weeks to get to a town 6 miles away. All these are just SOME of the examples with them.
Hang it up, you're like the profiteering wasteful, premium bottled water producer of the beverage world. You survive on artificially cheap fuel, labor and capital that America bestows, as you profit gouge.
I never use Fedex. The US Mail and UPS does a much better job at a much more fair price. Fedex does 1/100,000,000 the business of the other two. The Brainwashing Business class loved Fedex to do their dirty work for 30 years. Now what?
Do the banks Fedex a lot of eviction notices these days?
I just got through driving half an hour to the local FedEx to pick up a package that the driver wouldn't redeliver. I called FedEx 3 times on the way to try to have them get a hold of the local warehouse to give them a heads up I was coming to collect it, but they kept saying the local office wouldn't even answer.
When I got to the warehouse literally 1 minute after close, they stood there staring at me while I knocked on the door.
Screw you FedEx! Maybe you'll have better service unionized.
Fed Ex is spending millions on an astroturf (fake grassroots) campaign to combat the unionizing of Fed Ex...by calling the unionizing efforts a "bailout" of UPS, they are lieing to the public about what the real issues are. Don't be deceived!!!
@john81575 I'm a FDX and I don't understand the logic of calling it a bailout. The beef I have is UPS had an opportunity to organize under the same category as FedEx and they declined. Now they want the competitor to change status. A bit odd.
fedex is as usual twisting the facts. its a shame as to what levels of lying theyll commit to to keep unions out. i work at a fedex terminal and ive seen the abuses of power used by mgmt over employees, contractors, and other levels of staff. Fedex needs a union now!
I'm all for competition and safety, so I need to call my congressperson, and have them vote against the Brown Bailout, which isn't a bailout at all, it just helps people form unions at FedEx, right? When people don't have the collective bargaining rights, they're chattel to be used and tossed aside at will by giant corporations in order to create more profit, higher stock prices, dividends to shareholders, and bonuses to CEOs. Hey, Trickle Up Economics! :)
wow you people are fucking idiots, fed ex dose the same exact job ups dose, i am a ups employee. You wanna know what the funny thing is all fed ex employee's are behind this so its gonna happen you ignorant fucks
(1) It's FedEx, not FederalExpress.
(2) It's UPS, not United Parcel Service
These two errors right here should be telling.
(3) The only bailout is for Fedex and employees outside of airline operations, by being inappropriately classified under the RLA.
(4) UPS has no "labor woes" because it is widely known the Teamsters were and are an important factor in MAKING UPS as profitable as it has been
(5) WTF does airline safety have to do with this?

Do the banks Fedex a lot of eviction notices these days?

I just got through driving half an hour to the local FedEx to pick up a package that the driver wouldn't redeliver. I called FedEx 3 times on the way to try to have them get a hold of the local warehouse to give them a heads up I was coming to collect it, but they kept saying the local office wouldn't even answer.
When I got to the warehouse literally 1 minute after close, they stood there staring at me while I knocked on the door.
Screw you FedEx! Maybe you'll have better service unionized.

What the fuck has air safety have to do with it?

Fed Ex is spending millions on an astroturf (fake grassroots) campaign to combat the unionizing of Fed Ex...by calling the unionizing efforts a "bailout" of UPS, they are lieing to the public about what the real issues are. Don't be deceived!!!

So, this congressman allowing Fed Ex workers to unionize is an unfair bailout how? You fail at logic, Fed Ex.

Pretty much FedEx is full of crap on this one.

Air safety? Are the teamsters now trying to organize pilots?
FedEx drivers have nothing to do with air safety. Just a cheap FedEx attempt at psychological manipulation.

1. FedEx is misusing the term bailout.
2. Has an unfair advantage at the moment due to the labor union laws?
3. Is attacking UPS because UPS is trying to make each companies unionization fair.
4. Hasn't gotten a delivery to my door on time while UPS constantly gets it there a day or two early. I'll stick with UPS. Thanks.
