Gilmour know's how to arrange song's and he has the ability to keep you on the edge of your seat wanting more. Thanks Pink Floyd for your year's of great music !
This is David Gilmore and company, it is not Pink Floyd in any way!! Roger on his own is 100% more Pink Floyd than all these guys combined ever could be , any true fan that knows the mechanics of song writing and composing will agree, Gilmore is a great axe man but his lyrics are pathetic ! If you know this than you know it takes more than a great gutiar to tell a floydian tale ROGER IS A GOD!
@JACKOFSPEED39 what the hell are you talking about man? David has been a member since the early days....you cant say his lyrics are pathetic without any reason at all. Roger got kicked cuz he is an asshole. tbh dude, u are missng the point. LOL
Ive loved Pink Floyd for more yrs. than I care to admit, and I think I always will. I remember the very1st time I heard them, and I was blown away!!! They have been a big part of my life. And they not only have entertained us, they have taught us as well. Thx guys for giving ur fans soooo much! I hope we have returned the favor.
@GraffitiDuo1 I'm Wrong about Venice...it's the Omni in Atlanta...he wore a black t in venice and the girls had the blue tight dresses.....(mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Rachel Fury)
@GraffitiDuo1 Also there were five backing vocalists in Atlanta whereas three in Venice. Also Nick had the cursive Ludwig logo on bass drum heads (replaced by capital letter logo). David's solo on this version trumps the studio version, he goes for the bluesy tone on the Stratocaster whereas the studio he used the Steinberger. Nick's drumming is better than Carmine Appice's and Rick Wright doesn't overkill the organ like Bill Payne did. I miss Tony Levin's bass work however.
Seriously 22k views for PINK FUCKING FLOYD?! Come on people! get real for once... this is the real deal not justin biber! I don't want to live on this planet anymore...
I would've loved to have been that percussionist surrounded by all sorts of drums, cowbells, electronics, congas, bongos, timbales, tambourines, cymbals of all shapes and sizes, and that's just the beginning. I love it when he has to jump up to hit those crash cymbals. You know he had fun on this tour. Gary Wallis is his name.
Man, I remember MTV actually showing the video for this song. Learning To Fly also. Then they even showed the live version of Comfortably Numb from this concert. That was before they sold their soul to Lucifer.
The only reason I won't post a dislike on ths video is because I like the song and you mixed it in different concerts. Take a good look at the girls at back up vocals.... they're different shows. Don't get me wrong...good job though. You're a Floyd fan and so am I!!
'@yocuzz100 are you blind? this is the same show. everybody else has the same clothes. and there are two girls singing on the gilmour's left (in front of keyboards), and three of them standin' on gilmour's right.
perfect thats our troops.xxx but pink floyd was chose to sing about all horrible things since the 60's and they have never given up and they are still fighting .xxxx
i'd say we're there again...that;s the thing about history it repeats it does; give me Pink in the End, cause in the beginning, there's that olde pink lyghte boy$...*******
Never again will there be a band as great as Floyd!
