Just a query i just got DVD Fab5 platinum. when i hit start it a box pops up saying

"you are going to TRY Blu-ray mode, i then have the option to click OK or cancel.

I tried judt clicking ok and it wouldnt write from me how do i remove this blu-ray thing? any idea?

Does DVDfab make any changes to the original DVD when it bypasses the protection? It only bypasses it, doesn't remove it, right?

That's where you want DVDFab to send the data that is being copied from the source DVD.

Usually, I point the target to a folder on my hard drive so that DVDFab can send the DVD's video_ts folder to that specific location.

You might want to save the DVD's video_ts file to your hard disk and then burn that video_ts file to a blank DVD using a program such as DVD Shrink.

i think basically the com. kind of memorize the DVD so you can paste it on to your blank disk (this is the dumb down version is alot more complicated than this)

Yes, it is able to bypass protected DVDs.

IT'S EASIER TO DO IT THIS WAY AND IT DON'T COST ANYTHING...

1: First use the program: DVDfab6 to Copy the whole movie to the HARDDRIVE in a VIDEO-TS folder (set to "DVD9" for 100% Qaulity)

2: Then use the program: DVD-Shrink to Re-author and Copy the Movie ONLY on to the HARDDRIVE in a ISO. image.

3: Then use the program: DVD-Decrypter to BURN the ISO.image of the Movie to a 4.7 DVD-r disc.

from the internet you can Download and use DVD-Decrypter and DVD-Shrink for free.

Yes, I have used this method before and it works. I have videos that show this method. I question it's "ease of use" and speed from the standpoint of a new user. Also, one obviously does not have all of the options contained in DVDFab if they were to use the method you prescribed. Yet, to your credit, the method you prescribed works.

i try to use this dvdfab 5, but seem to be to slow to copy one movie take about 2 hours, is this norman? any advise will be appreciated.

I guess I'm in the same boat, as it is taking me 2 hours + to rip a 14 minute video file using DVDFab.

I'm sure processing power plays a substantial role in the recording time.

first check what discs you're computer supports and thats it well i use dvd+r i highly recommend you go to the dvdfab site frequently asked questions and by the way there is a new version of dvdfab it's dvdfab 5.2.3.0 so dont waste you're time downloading ver 5.2.2.2 cuz i did and it was a pain in the neck for new movies like bangkok dangerous sorry i put this twice
