Well, guess I'll deal with you first. Detroit is actually one of the more successful franchises in SPORTS history, not just hockey. What other teams in any sport have made it to the play offs for 19 years in a row? Second, winning 7 cups in the original six was sure as hell a lot harder than winning a cup now. Lets take Malkin for example, back in those days, he'd be lucky to be on the third line of any team. There was more talent back then, which is what made it harder to win.

What people need to understand is this: if you're a hockey player and you get hit illegally, you have two choices: 1- go out of your way to keep your balance and stay up, while possibly flopping on the ice ANYWAY; 2- say 'fuck it', let gravity do what it does, giving your team a possible advantage. Its basic science people. When you shift a guy's balance unexpectedly he's going to topple. Osgood could have easily recovered from that if he would have seen it coming, a slight shift of a balance and he would have stayed right up. But he didnt. So he just fell. It was accidental goalie interference, much like Zetterberg and Cleary's goalie interference.
Besides if you say thats a dive, thats one as compared to the one in every four games Crosby played.

If you look at his feet his left skate kicks into the corner bar of the net when he avoids the Pen player. Since his other foot has no even ice to immediately avalible because the net is in the way it should be expected that he was going to fall.

AS most of you "non-hockey players" you do not know how easy it is for a goalie to lose balance on skates with all the equipement, I am a goalie for a small town team and this has happened to me a few times, it is ery easy to lose balance, it may be a dive, but u shud kno it is easy to fall while i ngoalie equip.

Redwings can have Mary Ann Hossa. He was not productive until he was on the line with Crosby and he won't even be on line 1 in Detroit. The only time he will be on the ice with Detroit's best players might be the power play. Osgood dives more than Crosby so get over it...

it'll be interesting to see who makes the finals next year. the Pens have some reconstruction happeneing, and that makes their return uncertain.
wings as best team in league, i'll be on it. but playoffs, don't be so sure. they FINALLY won it.. dominating in regular season and coming up short in playoffs was their slogan in the past few years. kinda like the sharks :p

Its basic science people. When you shift a guy's balance unexpectedly he's going to topple. Osgood could have easily recovered from that if he would have seen it coming, a slight shift of a balance and he would have stayed right up. But he didnt. So he just fell. It was accidental goalie interference, much like Zetterberg and Cleary's goalie interference.
Besides if you say thats a dive, thats one as compared to the one in every four games Crosby played.

i didn't see crosby dive... sry. yes, sometimes, but now its exagerrated. if anyone dives, its Pavel Datsuck (i believe thats how u spell it). he's pretty small, so the smallest bump leads to him lying on the ice.
