I've driven the Megane RS (got a video of the test drive in my channel), I think the in-car-sound is really good, espeacially better than VW's because they're more insulated.

From the outside I would say the sound is good in lower rpm's and "ok" in higher. But especially at maximum rpm the sound is awesome, sounds pretty much like a machine gun. Anyway, I'm ok with Scirocco/Golf R, Impreza (...), but GTI is definately no match for the Megane RS when it comes to engine sound.

Like an other guy mentioned below, I would go for the Focus RS aswell. Stock it sounds great, but with a Milltek on it, its a WIN. I've had the pleasure of driving it loads and I can't help smiling everytime. Especially when people fall of their bicycles when it backfires next to them :p.

Yeah Focus RS sounds really badass, probably the fastest car from 100 to 200 in all "hot-hatches" and definately with the best elasticity. Also it look brutal. But at the same time you need to realize its costs: Prize ~ Golf R Niveau, high fuel consumption, high insurcance costs and high car tax. Espeacially in Germany, costs can be more than 200 € higher than for a Megane RS for example. And its not being built anymore, btw.

@Abzug0386 If it needs to be with turbo: EVO X, Impreza WRX STI, Golf GTI/R, Scirocco R, even an Astra VXR/OPC (which i would never want to have).

Non turbo: Clio RS, Civic Type R,...

Don't get me wrong, I like really like the car. It looks good and what I heard of it, drives very well, but the engine sound isn't just that exciting. :)
