  • A brilliant lass she is all thee ware from Rochdale so brilliant humour and a good singer and so funny. from a Oldham man

  • Gracie fields makes me laugh. She was a born comedienne. I have seen this film many times. Best thing too is musical arrangement by Carroll Gibbons. Gracie was a natural around the stage and injected confidence and morale to a depressed Britain in the 1930s. Lost talent. Her monologues are so daft and we in Lancashire still hail her.

  • my mum is from

England (Northampton) i know that my grand father was out of work during the depression for a while , boot and shoe factory , but they still went away on holiday in 1932 , my great grandparents paid for the trip . i liked to think this was playing on the front in Brighton that year and they saw it while on holiday LOL great stuff thanks

  • Cracking stuff our Smooj! A charmin' little song that'll keep us chins up chuck. :-)
