Met Billy in 1975 in Lethbridge where he was playing at the Marquis Hotel. Got him some gigs around town notably at the Univerity of Lethbridge at the Student Pub. I also managed to locate some Thai stick for him. He taught me that C&W was OK. He did a killer version of Lovesick Blues.

Yeah, Bill was great, sad he's gone. He was a walking juke box, he knew so many songs. I had him at my place and we jammed all afternoon on just blues standards, he knew them all.
