Origin of part of Kurt Cobain's stage name is the band King Kurt. Kurt had read about the band in an early '80s Sound magazine which also included an article about Def Leppard in the same issue. Michael Hutchence of INXS also knew the album cover of King Kurt with a Rooster inspired me to write the song Rooster for Alice in Chains and was photographed wearing a King Kurt tshirt. Courtney Love's stage name came from an obituary dated Jan 14, 1985 before her debut in Sid & Nancy

@Boddahism Kurt Cobain didn't have a stage name...he was born Kurt Donald Cobain. In early years he used to write his name as Kurdt...and would even sometimes write his name as Kurt Kobain...but the spelling most commonly associated with him is the original spelling and he never had a stage name.

I am also "at peace ami, you're a good one" in his journal. He used my father and brother's middle name for him and his dad Don/Donald. I met him on May 16, 1983 while he was on the road crew for Def Leppard's Rock Till You Drop tour. This was after Def Lep opened for Billy Squier which ended in April in Seattle and Oregon.

@piemakesmelol Kurt was part of Joe Elliott's inner circle and not just a roadie. He also took on J.D. Salinger's Holden Caulfield for part of his persona as well. It was an act. However I HIGHLY doubt you knew Kurt personally or that he was ever a part of Joe Elliot's "inner circle" considering at 1983 Kurt would only be 16. On top of that is not hard to claim Heart Shaped Box is connected with SND, and the SEAHORSE was used as the cover for All Apoligies/Rape Me not Heart Shaped Box.

@piemakesmelol Def Leppard had a lot of young artists who worked on the road crew and backstage. Many of Def Leppard members started out at the age of 15 (Rick Allen for instance) in the band. This was the same for many band members I met along the way. The idea for Heart Shaped Box started forming from an INXS song with the lyrics "Heart shaped hedges" - Johnson's Aeroplane The Swing '84 album. I was involved with Michael Hutchence starting in June '83 at the age of 15.

@piemakesmelol You are only repeating what he said in public and it was part of his "persona" so Nirvana would seem a "made" band of the industry. It was for very strategic reasons and it worked. Many hair metal bands, such as Def Leppard, were also influenced by the Euro Punk revolution (especially considering they were BRITISH) which became the basis for the grunge revolution. Kurt was a very talented artist even at a young age playing drums in school. You fail!

@piemakesmelol He did "NOT"...It was a typo.  Yes, I wrote song for many artists and can prove it. Michael Hutchence of INXS was on tour Adam & The Ants in '83 who was managed by the punk band The Sex Pistols former manager Malcolm McLaren. I helped with ideas for Joe Strummer of The Clash's theme song "Love Kills" about Sid Vicious (see Courtney Love). In '83 the Alabama electric chair was brought out of retirement and this was inspiration for the song...

This including writing his bio (see journal) over and over again. The movies and videos are fictional. He worked on concept ideas for the movie Steel Magnolias. The beauty shop in the movie was inspired by my grandmother's "Belle's House of Beauty" and why Kurt claimed Nirvana practiced above a beauty shop in the early days.

@piemakesmelol The script idea for Steel Magnolias started forming in Oct '83. My grandmother died after coming out of remission from Leukemia on Oct 1st. When I returned from the funeral Joe Elliott named the movie and it was originally supposed to be about Leukemia, but Kurt remembered the Adam & The Ants song Zerox and my cousin who suffers from Diabetes worked for Xerox at the time. This is why Kurt made a home vid of him beating up a copier (available on youtube.)

"VOILETS IN BLOOM"...and both became songs for Nirvana and Hole...Voilet...and In Bloom.

My uncle's name was Buck and I wrote Cherry Pie for Warrant (inspired by an old song title of the same name by Marvin & Johnny which also had a song by the title Tick Tock and inspired me to write the song Tik Tok performed by Ke$ha). After writing Cherry Pie, Michael Hutchence wrote Oh! Cherry Baby for me. I wrote Crazy Bitch for Buckcherry as well.
