@Jayveloria rock dance is not the same as bboying. uprockin isn't the same thing and is actually a different dance on its over. some bboys were originally rockers and bboys adapted the jerks to their tops as seen with the shuffle back drop thing like in 02, 03 etc, but other than that they are really on different tips. on another note! posted by rob nasty is a video of born really killin it uprockin so well prolly see a rematch of whacko and born one day.

born is a dope bboy, but whacko is a dope uprocker and born stepped into territory that hes relatively new to but props to born for making finals. when i first saw this battle i was like, "hahah oh man, born got smoked lol" and its pretty clear around the end when they started to jerk at 5:01, all born's burns got blocked and countered on beat by whacko.

i seen whacko in the cypher bodying people rocking.he really knows the songs, how to manipulate them to make his opponent look like nothing.

@littlemingo i think you misunderstood me. i never said jerk was a new dance... that's the name of the move in uprock. The dance consists of foot shuffles, spins, turns, freestyle movements and more characteristically a four point sudden body movement called "jerk" (wiki is awesome for proving points when lazy lol). when i started going to jams with my crew almost 6 years ago was when i first saw these dudes in apache lines rocking to like 9 min songs lol and only "jerk" on breakdowns.

@ahano Learn about what's going on and understand it. The idea of rocking is to always dance, catch the nuances of the song and both attack your opponent and defend yourself simultaneously. This dance in battle formed shouldn't be performed one by one and doesn't need to be, unlike in breaking where a lot of space is needed for just one person to dance.
