  • Are there any animations showing how venice was built? I'm fascinated with that city.

  • @podmokly same for me! exept i dont want to just visit there, i mean ya i want to see allll of italy, but i really want to live somewhere in italy, im not sure where yet though. too bad i have to wait until after highschool ends haha

  • ehm to tell all the truth I didn't expect such an ingorance from a british, but you know

we go into being one stupid rude globalized world and you're a wasp brain , so ......

Venice doesn't rip any money to anybody since it's the most beautiful city in the world, ugly cities like London f.i. do that !! As for the " decent sewage system " , thats another one typical anglosaxon stupid comment : Venetians are far, far more IQed than your britton mates

  • they didn't provide any DECENT sewage system 'cos it would be swept away in short time due to the tides & waves chronic move ( Venice is a city entirely build

on water from centuries ) . Anyway only a minor part of sewage goes into canals and its been reducing year by year . The smell is due to the dirtness & bad behaviour of uncivilized underdeveloped worldwide tourists , among them americans chinese

and british are on Top classif., so think before posting so asinine statements !

  • @Trulyloyale Venezia puzza perchè ci sei passato tu....TE SI FASTIDIOSO COME NA ZERGNAPOLA TACA' IN DEE BORSE!!!

  • Venice is sinking this has nothing to do with climate change or sewer systems.

  • thats natures revenge for dumping raw sewage directly into the adriatic. With all the money Venice has ripped off the tourists youd think they would have invested in a decent sewage system by now the place Stinks in Summer

  • @cpnstav

It's not because the town doesn't have a decent sewage system, it does an OK job but the problem is that the city was essentially built on top of the mud and silt that's at the bottom of the lagoon, which causes the city to gradually sink over time.

Eventually in a few hundred years or so that town will go the way of the Titanic, and it also rains a lot during late winter and early spring so the water level in the lagoon naturally l rises and causes flooding.

  • 0:54 lmao!

  • im going to italy for ARMY RANGER SCHOOL

  • @francyube how it it their in venice

I m gonna live their one day

  • @Jenjenluv1 good luck. it's EXPENSIVE. Everyone is moving out of the city cause it's just too expensive. I live nearby.

  • I still love Venice even though the high tides cause flooding. :-) I really cant wait to visit!!!!!!

  • @TOXIC1113 me too :D

  • hahaha , it just wonderfull . i need to go there some day , and meet some real italian girl . and live there after ....

  • venice is so unique, thats like the only city of its kinds

  • amsterdam, holland is similar

  • i was born in the wrong country i belong there

  • I remember that day... 1 out of millions lol it's annoying how you have to wear those high boots!

  • love venice

  • Venice is the GREATEST place on EARTH.

  • Tide is normal and typical of Venice taking it away it's bad! it's like taking away water from Moint Saint Michel...

  • I think Venice is the most beautiful city in the world

  • You did a good job. Venice is unique! and so beautiful.

  • im american but i moved to venice about 5 years ago...it's amazing and it's true we don't care much about the high water...

  • I was there twice- once when the waters came in as u showed on ur video. It amazed me how efficient the locals were- they just jumped up on the tables as they were layed out and continued on their way to wherever they were going to. It didnt faze them at all ! It was amazing to see the waters wash inside some of the places of interest in St Marks Square... I loved it as the place was less crowded unlike when I was back the next time. Given a choice I prefered it when it was flooded.

  • A wonderful city. I travelled all the way from Sydney Australia last year just to go to Venice for the first time! I am going back this year in October, and next year (possibly!).

  • Che bello!!!NN ho mai visto venezia sotto l'acqua....stupenda come al solito!!!!

  • There is a place very similar to Venice. Try the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas!!!!!!!! Just kidding! The Venetian Hotel is very impresive, but NOTHING beats the REAL Venice. Thanks for posting.

  • My hometown, but I'm happy I don't live there anymore. It's DEAD!

  • really?ive been wondering if people actually live there ..cuz it seems so fascinating to me!

  • that doesn't mess up the buildings at all? Even in normal situations it seems a bit precarious. Would love to visit though.

  • I hope despite the flood you still enjoyed Venice. What I enjoyed most in my tour of Venice is the glass making process. Work of art is just a few minutes. Excellent masters of glass art.

  • Isn't that flooding you experienced called Aqua Alta? Yeah had heard about that flooding when my dad I went there in December of 2005. They had some flooding fews prior to our visit there. We got lucky, but it seems like a normal way of life for the Venetians.

  • thats cool! when i was there i heard about the tides...thankfully it didn't happen. but sweet video too!

  • Wow- I do remember you man - you are a linguist, correct? We weren't sure if we were going to Venice or not at the time. Great to hear from you.

  • Hi lee.. do you remember me? I' MIrco, the Guy form Venice you met in the trens-siberian railway from Ekaterinburg to Kazan. You could tell me you were coming!!

    Tell me next time ok!

    See ya
