hope to see these finishes on the vintage someday: les paul custom alike, telecaster double bound and a silverburst v100 would made my life, i love my vintages .... :)
I@vintageshred71 I wanna buy this guitar, the problem is I'm in Romania and I don;t know if this vintage V100 it's like the vintage V100 Flamed Ice Tea

@krajnovic10 I have the same guitar. This has the best sustain in this price, that I've ever tried. And its sound very close to the original Les Paul.
@krajnovic10 I have the same guitar. This has the best sustain in this price, that I've ever tried. And its sound very close to the original Les Paul. Thanks for the Wilkinson humbuckers... :)
Hi, Gav! I saw this video demo of Vintage V100TSB for hundred times, and I bought one... and I'm happy, 'cause I love this guitar. I try to send you a video response, I played the best Gary Moore song with it, the "Loner". Cheers, and thanx for this demo! :)
@Skullbastard OK sorry for delay with replying, I have asked our technical department about this, and they say that if you put a peak reading, true R.M.S. voltmeter onto the unloaded output of a guitar and wallop the strings, you will easily get 10V output. No one can give you a definitive figure; it depends on how the guitar is set up, and how you play it
@68SSCAM shouldn't be a problem, although I'm not sure what guitar/s Jimmy used on that particular live session - don't forget he also used Tele's and Danelectro DC59's.
@vintageshred71 I am sure that it would be the LP. The Danelectro was only used for White Summer and then for Kashmir and In My Time of Dying. The Telecaster was used in his early work and no so much later on, although it did make some appearances. But the sound on all the heavier songs on the CD are very similar and it sounds very much like the LP and it's form 72 when he used it commonly. If I know for sure I can get the same or similar sound our of this guitar I would very much like one.
I'm holding exactly that guitar right now, I just bought one, but I'm having trouble keeping it tuned right, because it goes out of tune pretty fast. I don't have that problem with my fender strat. Do you have any advice?
@TheArcticMonkeyz hmm, unusual, especially for this model. You could try changing the strings, as if it has the original strings on from new, they could be a few weeks old, or If they are new strings, make sure they are stretched in. If this still doesn't work, message me.
I've gone from wanting a white LP to a Cherryburst LP to a black LP to the Tobacco Burst LP, all of these are Vintage V100's, why? Because they're all so awesome and I've only heard good things about the playability. This will be my second guitar and although I've had chances to get Epiphone's for a good price, I've always said no as after trying one of these it beats the Epi hands down.
Christmas is but a couple of nights away so hopefully I can get myself a TSB as I have set my heart on it :)
@20zd main difference is that the Icon series are artifiicially aged to make them look old. However on the V100MRJBM and V100MRPGM Icon models there are other differences such as nickel silver pup covers and alternative wirings.
@KISSisHetero it's the best you can get for 300 €. i play the Vintages VSA535 (ES 335) and bought it for 450 € and i play it more onstage than my Gibson SG Standard. the pick ups are really good but your vintage will sound ace with a DiMarzio, like the rhythm guitarist in my band plays on her vintages V100 lefthand.
I'm left handed so I'm limited in my choice. I can choose from either this guitar or the ICON Lemon Drop.
Apart from the custom pickup layout and the ageing, what else do you get for your money on the Lemon Drop version? Is the action any different? are the necks the same?
@gecko1010101 the lemon drop has the nickel-silver pickup covers, and also the out of phase wiring in centre position. But in my experience the necks are the same on both models.
@jazzy639 well spotted sir! It should indeed be white on this model. Ihave no idea why...perhaps the factory had ordered too many black ones and were trying to slim stocks down...
@thenaked2rist dude, it-s a good guitar for all, you just need to know how to play it,,,, excellent for blues and jazz, very good for rock, very good for metal, and very good for Punk, don-t go for the icon series, cuz its more 100 $ and its all the same, just de looks changes, sorry for my english =]
I've had this guitar for 3 months now and i cant fault it one bit. Much better than the epiphone and if it wasnt for this review i would be stuck with a fender, thanks a bunch.
I gonna get the Vintage V100 BB (Black gloss with gold hardware) in a few days - I just ordered it. When I first tested LPs I was so "omgwtfBBQ-punches-in-the-face" when I heard this guitar in Crunch and Lead Sounds. Clean I find it not THAT great but still good-ok.
It just sounds so full, warm and singing - I had to get one.
Hi! I bought a V100TSB in january. I saw your video about 1000 times before I went to the store, I read many forums, and I agree: it's the best Les Paul model in this price!
The sound, the playability, the quality is very good. Sorry, I can't write more, I have to pick my "beauty" and play guitar! :) God bless you all and Vintage guitars! Cheers, and sorry for my english!
@ivncdo0809 Horses for courses - all depends if you want single coil sound (V6) or humbuckers (V100). I prefer humbuckers, but it's all subjective really.
@vintageshred71 i was dubious about the vintage range, but the strat, 335 and now this paul sound amazing, but would you serously recommend them based on there playability??
@strabbs1 Without hesitation - they are seriously good guitars. You might have to spend a little money getting one set up exactly as you want it, but at these prices you can't really go wrong.
Lol, thanks - it's a West Yorkshire accent if you are interested. I am not going to diss anybody else's gear, but I like to think that we provide the best possible spec in this price bracket. Now where's mi' flat cap and t'whippet gone.....
Well I just found out a picture of a lemon drop, sanded and it is all mahogany. I guess the only way to know for sure, is to look into the pickup cavity. Still sounds great. And has a long tennon. That is a nice feaure
To my understanding it's a proper maple cap with a flame maple veneer - to use a full flame top would obviously be prohibitively expensive, its one of the reasons the Lemon Drop model is over £100 more at RRP.
i brought a Gibson Les paul traditional about 3 weeks ago, and saw one of these hanging up on the wall, compared it to the traditonal, sounded really good, but not up to the fat tone of the gibson trad, a nice, fairly cheap, les paul. If you can't get a Gibson get this
ok, when i get a camera, ill send u a message and you can watch. I'm 13 btw with blond hair if you dont belive me, save this comment and ill message you when its up
I love this guitar its amazing. Its cheap and way better than most epiphones that you would have to pay 3 times more for the quality you get from a v100. If anyone is thinkin of buying a les paul style guitar get this its brilliant.
had just the same today...thought of an epiphone, because i couldn't affort a gibson anyway. I was already fine with a epiphone les paul custom until my girlfriend suggested this guitar.
and it' just amazing. it's so much cheaper and sounds so much better.
i think it's better than epiphone les paul standard because, vintage is cheaper and sounds much better, i played epiphone standard and vintage v100 and you can see the difference. P.S. My english i s also not so good
hey this looks like an amazing guitar for its price and the sound quality you get. I'm thinkin about buying one in the iced tea colour if possible. Cool video youre a great player.
Got one! Muahhhaaha! :) Not in TSB as I wanted. It is in HoneyBurst which is much cooler than I excpected. Look at my videos to see some sound check i've done. A very VERY mature instrument in fact, not to even compare to other sh..t in the same price level IMO.
i've ordered this model ( V100TSB) at local music store, and already been waiting for 3 weeks for it to come. Driving me crazy. I hope it will be worth waiting and will be much highier quality than my current Tanglewood strat copy :)
I've got this guitar and it rocks so hard. and you sir are very very good. If you have any time, could you please check out my vids and advise me on how to get a better sound out of this guitar please? I would appreciate it so much if you did. please
Thank you so much man, I love it when there's someone on youtube really talented and stuff and still answers all his comments so well! Thank you again really!
Well, if it helps I've been playing in bands for over 20 years - everything from small pubs to medium size concert halls. I've been using Vintage guitars since about 2004, with no complaints.
hey this is an odd question bt i might gt a vintage frm GAK the music site soon nd i was wonderin if u knew if GAK ship 2 england orders cuz im english so....
plz reply im trying 2 decide wether 2 gt a vintage or an epi lp 100 wt i realy wnt 2 no is are these guitars the real deal not a nok off of a lp at the mo i wnt an lp 100 mre cuz its mre wel nown nd its a lp bt i saw these guitars nd i cnt decide plzzz reply
I'd be just accused of favouritism, even though the Vintage V100 has all the Trev Wilkinson hardware, vintage voiced pickups, full mahogany body and mahogany set neck with maple top.
Hi loved your playing and am interested in this specific model but have a few questions.
How thick is the maple top? On some of the other models it appears to be a flame veneer and a veneer usually affects the tone slightly compared to a solid top.
What is the difference in the pickups between this and the lemon drop model?
I have lost interest in epiphone because they use a maple alder laminate top and this model sounds less muffled.
Hi dude, and thanks for your kind comments. The difference between the pickups on this model and the Lemon Drop is the LD model has nickel silver covers, rather than chrome, and the neck pickup is reverse wound and wire for the out of phase sound in centre position. I have no idea how thick the maple cap is I'm afraid.
Nice demo, but these guys charge almost £100 more than anyone else, I got mine for £159 with full setup and guarantee, these guys want nearly £250 for same thing lol

It is a bit heavy though. A friend of mine also has a V100 and he said his isn't that heavy at all.

Gonna show us your chops on yer new paul then? We're waiting ...

I was already fine with a epiphone les paul custom until my girlfriend suggested this guitar.
and it' just amazing. it's so much cheaper and sounds so much better.
i think my english's good, too. xD
freestairway 2 years ago
But that amp would be able to let a broom neck plays!!! Check out with a practice amp to show the real guitar character...
torqueup74 2 years ago
i think it's better than epiphone les paul standard because, vintage is cheaper and sounds much better, i played epiphone standard and vintage v100 and you can see the difference. P.S. My english i s also not so good

What is the difference between a Vintage V100 guitar and a Epiphone Les Paul model.
Boppersson 2 years ago
You get more than what you pay for with the Vintage and you get ripped off with the epi.
MrORLY 2 years ago
in your opinion - which is a better guitar - the v6 or the v100?????
jtcfc 2 years ago
You can't really judge one over the other as they are totally different guitars - however I prefer to play V100's simply because of the humbuckers.
vintageshred71 2 years ago
Hey dude could you please try and tell me what the difference is between a tobacco sunburst model and a flamed iced tea model ?? Thanks
gunsnrosesrocker 2 years ago
its the colour
viktorskateare 2 years ago
hey this looks like an amazing guitar for its price and the sound quality you get. I'm thinkin about buying one in the iced tea colour if possible. Cool video youre a great player.
gunsnrosesrocker 2 years ago
Hey thank you for your kind comments - The maple top on the Ice Tea has a "flame" wood grain, as wel as being slightly lighter in colour.
vintageshred71 2 years ago
Hey thanks ive checked em out and i think im gonna go with the flamed iced tea finish one =) Thanks for the great video
gunsnrosesrocker 2 years ago
Got one! Muahhhaaha! :) Not in TSB as I wanted. It is in HoneyBurst which is much cooler than I excpected. Look at my videos to see some sound check i've done. A very VERY mature instrument in fact, not to even compare to other sh..t in the same price level IMO.
tadask83 2 years ago
It sounds like i can play some Guns and roses with it... that right ?
Pinball88 2 years ago
Should be great for Slash tone, yeah.
vintageshred71 2 years ago
i've ordered this model ( V100TSB) at local music store, and already been waiting for 3 weeks for it to come. Driving me crazy. I hope it will be worth waiting and will be much highier quality than my current Tanglewood strat copy :)
tadask83 2 years ago
Is it good for playing Whitesnake tunes? It sure has a nice sound.
Skullbastard 2 years ago
Oh yeah, especially the earlier (and, IMO, better) Moody/Marsden material.
vintageshred71 2 years ago

Well, if it helps I've been playing in bands for over 20 years - everything from small pubs to medium size concert halls. I've been using Vintage guitars since about 2004, with no complaints.

Can somebody advise this gentleman?
I'd be just accused of favouritism, even though the Vintage V100 has all the Trev Wilkinson hardware, vintage voiced pickups, full mahogany body and mahogany set neck with maple top.
vintageshred71 3 years ago
Hi, does anybody know the website for vintage guitars
dlk6666 3 years ago
Yes, it's part of the JHS website - link is on the video - and there is a users group on facebook.
vintageshred71 3 years ago
No, it's purely cosmetic.
vintageshred71 3 years ago
Is there any difference between gold hardware and chrome hardware on a guitar ? I want to buy a V100 and i can't decide between TSB and CS
Pinball88 3 years ago
alright G-man... happy new year
any idea what the output of the pickups is? i can't be bovvered to take mine apart to measure them... :o)
mistersnaredrum 3 years ago
Blimey dude....I'll email the Guru and see what he says!
vintageshred71 3 years ago
Hi loved your playing and am interested in this specific model but have a few questions.
How thick is the maple top? On some of the other models it appears to be a flame veneer and a veneer usually affects the tone slightly compared to a solid top.
What is the difference in the pickups between this and the lemon drop model?
I have lost interest in epiphone because they use a maple alder laminate top and this model sounds less muffled.
With regards
whateverlikesgadge 3 years ago
Hi dude, and thanks for your kind comments. The difference between the pickups on this model and the Lemon Drop is the LD model has nickel silver covers, rather than chrome, and the neck pickup is reverse wound and wire for the out of phase sound in centre position. I have no idea how thick the maple cap is I'm afraid.

Nice demo, but these guys charge almost £100 more than anyone else, I got mine for £159 with full setup and guarantee, these guys want nearly £250 for same thing lol
Shop elsewhere they are robbing sods.
