im watching ur videos and ur too attached to the system. we know ur not supposed to jump red lights but he aint doing nothing wrong by jumping that red light on his BIKE. i never stop for red lights on my bike except if thers busy traffic crossing my path. some idiot was once stopped at a red light at 4 in the morning and the motion sensor was waiting for cars to come before it went green and i could see him sat ther for like 5 minutes from down the road.
@gaz545 Agreed! How can we cyclists expect respect from drivers and argue our right to use the highway and then not follow the bloody rules!!!!???!!!!
@gaz545 I think there are many times when it is safe to jump red lights and therefor why should i wait? just because its against the law dosent mean its wrong.
@gaz545 "So if it's safe, should a motorbike go through a red light? What about a car? a van? A bus? a HGV?"
yes! many countries they would do, if it's safe, IT'S SAFE!
...if it's not entirely safe and your risking it then that's clearly irresponsible and unfair on the conscience of the person scraping you off the floor..
I mean of course traffic lights are needed but come on, if it's 100% safe to jump..? people are born into poverty, slavery and dying of hunger for christ sake, reality check?
@kelebradudes hey man I wrote this comment a long time ago and have since educated myself a bit better on the subject of RLJ with the help of you tube and many hours cycling. I don't RLJ any more although many of my peers do. thanks to everyone who has posted a cycling videos, they have helped changed my opinion on RLJ and helped improve my safety on the road.
@SPIRITintheBOTTLE is it so fucking hard to just wait for the light to turn green? what if every1 was doing that? cars, busses and bikes just going through because they think they cant see any1, it IS wrong to do it because it IS wrong to clearly break the law on purpose that many depend on
@geppegep read other comments before typing... rules are there to be broken:) haha just like dogs some people just don't domesticate very well. love you :)
#5 Do you think it's perhaps a little unfair to call the three that were already there "silly cyclists "? They could have already been waiting when the HGV pulls along side of them. One of them definitely rides up the inside and is deserving of the label, but the others could have been perfectly in the right? Perhaps, I wasn't there
I've lost count of the number of times lorries have pulled along side of me whilst I've been waiting in an ASL. Not in London though. Good vid though, subbed :)
Lots of RLJ:s on these silly videos seemed to be in three road junctions.
I'm from Finland. We have segregated cycleways here, and right hand traffic. We have to obey only traffic lights on our right side. If a lane goes right of the signal, we can pass it even if it is red.
Is there such rule in Britain?
So we have car lane - traffic light - cycle lane. Traffic light for cars is left of cyclists, cyclists can pass it. If there is no road to the right, we just go forward without stopping.
I'm 25 and passed my PVC licence (bus driver) on Friday. It's really good to see someone like yourself making videos about road safety as well as showing up bad drivers. As a new bus driver I just wanted to say that I will do my best to avoid the things I've seen in your videos.
My rear red light (my 818) is currently masked by my saddle bag when you are close, but we're talking 1-2 metres, not really worried about it otherwise as from a distance (for a car at least) its fine. (Meaning to mount it to the saddle though).
the guy on the willier looked a bit chavy for a bike like that and its not the type of bike to do wheelies on if you respect it ! , bet him or his mates have nicked it,
Tell you what if he had proper clipless on and some aerodyamic lycra he would be a 'fast un' Like the commentry intsead of music
thank you. great way to learn from mistakes

I must be daft. I don't get the point of your videos (or maybe there is no point). Great to see so many people cycling anyways.

@jacktls26 The bottom line is RLJing is against the law. I've got a video where someone does it in front of a copper and they get a ticket.

Number 6 looks like he just stole that bike. Something doesn't add up - expensive bike, no gear?
jca111 1 year ago
@jca111 i tihkn gears for pussys i have a 1500£ bike and i have no gear at all
jacktls26 1 year ago
@jacktls26 Actually, you do. Otherwise your wheel wouldn't turn.
Instead though - how about not being an arrogant idiot about it? Single, fixed and multispeed gearing is a choice.
Btw - I own both geared and single speed/fixed bikes - so obviously I am better than you.

@drsquirrel0 talking about protection gear mate. i got 28 speed, i couldnt go anywhere without gears lol

No.5. Again we have the Superficial Cycleway encouraging people to go up the inside of vehicles.
It gives an illusion of safety that does not exist.
