@thenintendogamer That trade helped the Rockets get past the Sonics in 1997. If that trade doesn't happen, the Rockets end up losing to Seattle because they really frustrated Hakeem with excessive double and triple teams and their illegal defense (zones). Barkley helped take pressure off of him and helped the rebounding as well. But, that trade hurt the Rockets in the 1997 WCF against Utah because they had to start rookie Matt Maloney who got owned by Stockton.

can you image how many championships houston could have won if the rockets where able to keep otis thrope plus still get clyde drexler and than on top of that if verron maxwell could have had a good head on his shoulders i am thinking the rockets and bulls would have had a few classic nba fianls match ups.

The '92-'93 season was really the "changing of the guard" season. Alot of people say it was the '93-'94 season since MJ retired, and i don't blame them for saying that...but the '92 -'93 season was really the first season that alot of teams made big changes to try to catch up to the Bulls. (look @ Houston finally surrounding Hakeem with a supporting cast and Phoenix).

The early to mid-90s was a great time for some NBA basketball. I believe the 1993 Playoffs was one of the most entertaining post-seasons (with all the great matchups from first round to NBA finals).
