I have a vista pc and have had it for around 3 years and it failed only when i messed with the bios, my laptop on the other hand, i've had it for 4 months and it has bluescreen 28 times...i sent it back to hp and it came back broken. it's given me hell and yet the vista pc starts up quicker too! windows 7 seems worse to me atm...

There is something to be said for the learning curve of going to a mac from pc for a casual user (yes,a learning curve, this as example. Im a systems engineer and have as much experience with both as well as Linux, sun micro, etc.
We all hate monoploy of MS, but I have VISTA on my main machine right now and run all kinds of stuff on it, like VMWARE and other os's running on top of it.Vista has been installed for 6 months, I pound the shit out of it and guess what... it has NEVER crashed.

Trying new things and new ways to do job may help you in several ways, you may find better ways to do what you like with more speed and quality. Look, something you all need to know, Macs may crash sometimes, but the Mac Vs. PC thing is personal for alot of Mac users, because we want people to at least consider both sides first, I used to be a PC user, and fell in love with a Mac at school, and got my own.

ok first up vista sucks. Outlook sucks. I use mozilla thunderbird and it pisses on outlook. Using a piss poor OS like Vista just for outlook is a lame excuse. Girl you cant use any excuse in the book just because that dwindling twat like chris can recommend pure shit. Plus with windows vista you'd get more of a migrane rather than the "windows experience" Ive used vista, Ive hated it. Seriously. XP was better if you use decent software and keep it stable. Obviously their noobs with a camera.

Robinmoviesofficial obviously your a vista tool yourself. Ive tried vista on numerous machines and theyve either had a major flaw with latency, driver issues, I found XP better than vista. I find windows even better than both XP and vista combined tho.

@nemesisnz666 I now there are "better" Operating Systems but if you cant work with XP or Mac < OSX you need to search something else. Vista probably "works" for me. I,am gonna to buy a mac. Its because it works probably better then vista for me. Didn't even now why i have wasted my money on a Windows computer. Now i now it. I just wanted to test Windows...

@RobinMoviesOffical Actually there's always torrenting modded and hacked versions of windows for free that not only work better (256mb ram minimum instead of 512mb minimum) but don't require hunting down a product key because the activation software and all that is completely stripped out as well as the things that would report it to microsoft and the annoying things that would say "vista unactivated now deleting vista....thank your for trying Windblows."

people who just say "vista sucks" and nothing else are typically people who don't know how to use computers. but for computer enthusiasts like myself, i hate vista because its horribly bloated and tries (and failed) to be something nobody asked for. i use windows xp for gaming and linux for everything else. the fact some that people can't run vista on their computers is enough of a reason why its not good. an os that can't function well on a p3 has a problem

Trying new things and new ways to do job may help you in several ways, you may find better ways to do what you like with more speed and quality. Also routine kill your brain/nerves , you should avoid routine in all things. Don't even brush your teeth the same way, dont smoke or drink you beer at the same place , don't drive in the same route etc etc

Why such a big deal. Just tell her to install Windows xp ON BOOTCAMP and whenever she wants to run outloook she boots windows xp on the Mac and that's it. she can keep mac os X and use that OS all the time.

wireless probles never and i mean NEVER had those and i cant fucking upgrade my ram and my hd and i don't really mind graphics card but if you want to upgrade them buy a macpro ( yes they are more expensive than cheap windows and hp dell, etc but they work and when you have a problem apple takes care of absolutely everything) so i'm paying for a product that can work more than 3 years like your cheap machines i have an emac that has been working for 7 years. in other words I'm paying for quality
