An elderly neighbor had an Edison phonograph whic played the records. 78 RPM size of 33 1/3 albums, thickness of two albums, heavy. Spent a Saturday evening being entertained by this neighbor. She passed on this player and records to children who had no respect for this equipment.
we have one of these! They are fascinating. I always like to imagine who used to gather around it and listen to it in awe when it was a novelty. We also have many records that go with it. My dad loves playing the recording of Turkey and the Straw lol.
