rachel hylton is very attractive and gifted, but the only barrier that stands between her and success is her attitude, she has a very serious attitude problem and that was what costed her the competition. Her biggest problem is taking criticism and thats the issue a lot of black women have, you tell a sister where she went wrong next thing she thinks you're picking on her and people like rachel represent black women in a very negative way and some sistas need to change their attitudes.

her unique voice reminds me of Fantasia. because Fantasia has a fairly unique voice herself, and she actually won American Idol - so there is more of a market in America for such a voice than here

It may not be perfect but this cover has some beautiful moments. Rachel Hylton is one of the best singers to ever appear on the X-Factor. It was so refreshing to see someone who refused to be moulded into what the show wanted them to be. Good on her for standing up to the producers and Mingoue. He said that what she did in the beginning ruined the song, meaning that the interruption was what ruined the performance. All of the judges and everyone in the room loved the song. I loved it! I got goosebumps.

I care . Rachel could work.That is the business of everyone who is stuck supporting her . That is a lot of people. It is disgusting how some think its fine to have kids they cant afford to support and go on bennefits repeatedly.If confronted,they get rude.Regaurdless,Rachel isnt that good a singer .

Cruel? Rachel is the one who had children while on severe drugs,was violent,scared and mugged a helpless elderly woman and now chooses to avoid work and make society support her and her children while she lives out her music fantasy as long as she is able considering her voice is not good enough and no better than karaoke level.All people are doing is commenting on her poor vocals and their disaproval of her choice to be a useless parasite.She hhad a chance and wasnt good enough. Rachel cant change her past.Hopefully she will change her life now.She has a nice voice but no better than many church and karaoke singers who sound like her.I agree it is wrong for her to live off tax money others may truly need just so she can have an easier life .I feel sorry for her .She wanted this and her voice is just not special enough but at least she had the chance to find out.I will respect her more if she get a proper job instead of wallowing in fantasy at the public's expense.

Madebbie, Rachel is living off bennefits.She has for years,and if she could tour then she could get a job and work to support herself and her children.She had her chance and was not a good enough singer. Actually you are funny your ignorance is nearly as funny as Rachel's,ahem,demo,lol.With XFactor they know who will and wont by the end of the tour.Hence Ruth and the rest are now signed as they proved good enough and popular enough.And Rachel wasn't wanted as she proved to be no better than the fodder she was expected to be.She had and blew her chance and extra chances.Now those who decided know she is not marketable,not vocally good enough even after the experience,and crap at PR.

Amy Winehouse isnt unique at all.Many sound like her.Rachel is similar,but not as good.Also Wono at least had a interesting take on her stupid choices where Rachel is just another ex druggie with a bunch of kids.Her voice isnt bad it just isnt that good.For anything beyond a hobby that just wont do it which is why she wasnt signed.

Rachel is not uniqyue she is just another large black woman who can pull off decent low alto karaoke renditions of r&b gospel and soul songs. I can say that cos so am I lol. Unlike Rachel though, I have a range and sing well through it and have done better as a semi pro backing singer for my aunt(who also thinks Rachel is not good)by the age of 23 than she will ever do with that attitude and voice of hers.I dont doubt a few will say something nasty at this comment but they have no idea lol.

THis sounds like someone trying to sing it like Winehouse would. I have some sympathy now that I know she is special needs, but just because she is retarded shouldn't have given her a pass to act and sing as badly as she did. She didn't belong in the competition, and it is uncomfortable, because she is good considering her mental disability, but compared to regular people she sounds awful.

Simon never said she ruined the song. He said she ruined the "performance" by stopping in the middle and starting all over. He said that what she did in the beginning ruined the song, meaning that the interruption was what ruined the performance. All of the judges and everyone in the room loved the song. I loved it!
