being a doctor i'm suprised at your comment. you should and would know that diabeties, although is more likely to occur with an unhealthy diet, is not always the case and people to get it with no fault of their own or the way they eat. my sister is also a pediatrician and this view comes from her so it has some substance to it.

A great great majority of type two diabetes can be reduced by losing 10% of your body weight, walking 30 minutes a day, and watching what you eat. That reduces progression of type II diabetes 60%. It was in the new england journal of medicine as more effective than any drug therapy. So you are right it is always, but lifestyle is a great majority of the cause.

Medicare has unfunded commitments over $74 Trillion. Wars and the pentagon are a drop in the bucket comparably.
85% or more health care is related to your choices in life. You always have exceptions, but stats are stats. We have a titanic of diabetics coming. Why should we pay for the disease of affluence if you are unable to take care of yourself and resist eating yourself to death?

The profiteers are being taken out. The money will come from everybody. All that money gets pooled together. Also, redundant tests and procedures are being outlawed....those alone profited the doctors in the billions.
$74 TRILLION....please, Obama laughed at similar figures and he´s right. You guys are worried about your profits.

The only reason why you could be pissed off over this is because you are a pig. You´re just pissed off that other pigs have raided your trough. It´s understandable. Every human being is out for himself. With that in mind, nobody owes you an apology. Sure, tears will be shed but that´s just the way life revolves and evolves. Unions under Ronald Reagan realized that they have no rights. Doctors think they are special. Sorry, but you´re just another swinging dick that wants the coin.

How about this fact? In 2009 total government spending was 47% of our total GDP and that was over $21,000 per person. I think that is enough, but you want more.
I think you are the one who thinks they are special and others should pay their way.

being a doctor i'm suprised at your comment. you should and would know that diabeties, although is more likely to occur with an unhealthy diet, is not always the case and people to get it with no fault of their own or the way they eat. my sister is also a pediatrician and this view comes from her so it has some substance to it.

No it isn't always the case, but is called the disease of affluence for a reason. A great great majority of type two diabetes can be reduced by losing 10% of your body weight, walking 30 minutes a day, and watching what you eat. That reduces progression of type II diabetes 60%. It was in the new england journal of medicine as more effective than any drug therapy. So you are right it is always, but lifestyle is a great majority of the cause.

i see that a lot of people who make comments on this site may either not be educated enough or maybe quite well educated and smart but lack the intelligence. What Obama is proposing is not, i REPEAT not Socialism. More toward capitalism and what's wrong with that. people that don't consider others needs simply becuase their own needs are met and selfish and self centered. The world does not revolve around oneself. It is comprised of everyone and we all need to work together and help each other.
