@spartan117xz Yep. Neill Flynn (Janitor) had a role as a transit cop in The Fugitive. A small role, but the Scrubs producers implemented it nonetheless (which was a good idea in my opinion :D).
I kind of wish the Janitor revealed himself to be Neil Flynn at the end. And then he quit, assumed a new name and went to work on whatever sitcom he's working on now.
Because of some reason the final scene stayed with me and is one of the most rememberal scenes in the series. It's one of the scenes which shows the janitor as actually human. Just a second, but still.
@kenjuma For me it not just makes him human but maybe even the secret tragic hero/person of this series. It tells more about him than all other scenes with him together.
ah HA thanks for posting this.. I thought I remember this scene.. I keep wondering how he don't know janitor's name when he know he is a actor in the fugitive ...
Yup. For them to not call Janitor Neil Flynn now would be bad for scrubs. Its amazing how they told us his name but we all put that aside. Simply amazing.
"KImball! You tell anybody I'll kill you" I'm not quite sure why, but I find this to be a very poignant moment. A rare instance in which, all lies dropped, the Janitor let someone in on his past, on a "real" aspect of his life (and that someone was J.D. His archnemesis, of all people!).
Maybe I should have said "The Janitor lets JD in on the truth of what he has said about his past. Since the Janitor is a compulsive liar, JD has come to assume that everything he says is a lie. Therefore, when he can tell that the Janitor is being genuinely honest, he realizes that this custodian is, for once, being, at the very least, civil towards him.
My friend is studying psychology and he basically told me cuz i asked, that its not uncommon for someone who is rude or harmful to another for a certain amount of time to become affectionate towards that person.. My friends dad who has made little jokes about me all the 9 years ive known him has recently started being nicer, invites to casino trips, meals, etc. Point is its just natural and while its odd to see the janitor be nice to JD, it came in good time..
p.s.- he hit a soft spot that in the janitor which the janitor has shown in other episodes. when j.d. said how he hoped the janitor was someone who had hopes and dreams but instead is just a jerk, it connected with the janitor because he wishes the same thing.. Anyways, im overanalyzing this a tad i just love scrubs and im into the human mind as well
and whats up your bum lmfao

@Moredread25 That would make the most sense. After all, if he was in The Fugitive, he's Neil Flynn.

I don't remember the scene from 1:26 Oo I remember how he was shot but..hmm
AsuraZolo91 2 years ago
Well, they kinda cheated ;)
I think it was zoomed in a bit to make him make visable, also, these scene go:
Guy -> Harrison Ford -> Janitor
In the movie there were several shots in between.
What I found out is that Neil Flynn (Janitor) got to work with Harrison Ford TWICE (Indiana Jones 4). Lucky bastard xD

Neil Flynn is the actor that played in the fugitive, and he also plays the janitor,
this means that Neil Flynn is playing himself being a hospital janitor
