  • Oh, what fun! The celebrities were really intelligent and funny; and they were all of different ages and sizes too! HA!

  • wow, super cool, finding this old commercial against drugs.

  • commercial was certainly a period piece.

  • wow. that commercial was wicked cool.

  • Gotta love the commercial...and cigarettes killed Rod Serling at age 50!

  • Looks like they clipped the peacock logo off the head end. I remember when Game Show Network started airing these they left it on a few of the shows and the closing NBC logo was left on the tail end of at least one as I have it on videotape. This is the only HS worth watching IMHO.

  • "petesiegel1" ... How do YOU know cigarettes killed Rod!?!

Rod died of a sudden massive heart attach, heart trouble ran in his family.

Cigarettes may have had nothing to do with it- besides ciggy's are the coolest & that's why Rod as well as every other cool person in history smoked ... OXOXO ... :O)

  • Martin Landau and Barbara Bain, appeared as a couple in the series Space:1999.

  • Those are hard questions.

  • THANK YOU!! This clip brings back many happy childhood memories of classic tv game shows. Mission Impossible w/Bain & Landau was my all time favorite action/adventure show, and Mom loved Dick Van Dyke's Show.

  • Trivia:

Rose Marie and Morey Amsterdam were on "The Dick Van Dyke Show"; Marty Allen and Steve Rossi were a comedy team; Martin Landau and Barbara Bain (then husband and wife) were on "Mission: Impossible" (and later Space: 1999), Wally Cox was on "Mr. Peepers" and was also the voice of Underdog; Eva Gabor was on "Green Acres" and Cliff Arquette (aka Charley Weaver) is the grandfather of "Medium" star Patricia Arquette.

  • Extra trivia: this episode first aired on NBC @ 9:30 EST, Friday night, February 9, 1968. 8-B

  • and Barbara Bain guest starred in an episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show where she played Rob's old girlfriend in a flashback.... (wow I love tv trivia!)
