Thank you for the video and the idea. I got a dehydrator for Christmas (a different brand my husband bought) but can't wait to experiment with this idea. Looks great and can't wait to watch all your videos. Question, do you eat the dehydrated fruit as is or re hydrate it first? (I would use this method for in of season local fruits and veggies when they are out of season)
I don't think 1 cup of sugar for 5 quarts of water is very much at all. You use 1 c sugar for 2 quarts of kool aid and have you ever tasted "sweet tea"? Gagging it's so sweet. I'm sure that use alot more than one cup in that stuff.
@pesto12601 - I like to use fresh too. Dehydrated is just another way to do it. For the size of the container, it is a good amount of sugar to use. Thanks for watching!
I love your videos and your sons tickle me. Have you tried your lemonade with Maple Syrup (grade B) instead of sugar? make a small batch and tell me what you think.
take care and keep the videos coming!! thanks
btw, I'm buying my first excalibur because of you and your videos! :-) thanks

Why is it so hard to just use a fresh lemon? and yes... that's a damn large amount of sugar!!

Mine tasted awful. I am going to try cutting off the rind next time.
