I still have my original copy of Sol-Feace on SegaCD in my collection. Along with my Sherlock Holmes mystery game, and the CD+V music video CD that came with the original SegaCD. They are like treasures.
I'm flad that some shmup Mega drive fanatics have chimed in and have given their seal of approval! Personally, I think the game has some pretty innovative enemy AI.
I have a loose copy of this title and I safely say it is one of my most-played shmups, ever. I love it. So simple and, yet, so challenging. I think I'll give it a go once more. =)
For this game I didn't realize the music was this good until I did this video. I owned the Sega CD Sol Feace, that had red book music that was good too.

A good game that gets bashed too much just coz the segaCD version was not responded well to.
