  • lyrics anyone?? If you give them to me I will love you forever!! 8D

  • incredible my two fav. Yuki Kajiura and Yoko Kanno, addictive anime(must watch every episode, or at least one a day) Escaflowne jajajajajajajjaja i just am in love with this anime <3 <3 <3

  • I ♥ song

  • i never really figured out who that guy was.... who was this guy?

  • @EpicPiggysflying It's Van~~ <3

  • @oblivioustroll I mean, Van's bro: Fanel

  • @jigsaw9382 Oh... That makes sense... Thanks for explaining! :)

  • Did anyone undertsand how the Escaflowne movie fit into the story? I understood the anime ALMOST perfectly, but when I tried watching the movie, I was so confused...

  • I can't stop replaying this song...!!!

  • when i hear this song i think of somone flying a plane acidently into a strong storm cloud and geting a glimps of a sky city in the middle of the storm breavly befor thay make a crash landing

  • When I saw this Anime on Sat cartoons along time ago I was like wow wat is this but they took it off and I didn't get to see all of it =(

  • im getting ready to watch this series. i've only heard good things. i'm excited

  • some of the most amazing animation ever just the polished dream like feel of the animation made this one of the most memorible animes ever to me i feel this great awe everytime i see this

  • I still can't believe this came out 15 years ago. IT'S STILL THE BEST ANIME I'VE EVER WATCHED!

  • i have never seen the end of the show till today. once there was a power cut. and then my TV stopped working. and the third time my computer crashed. Maybe i should go try watching it again. maybe its time i should.

  • Is it me or is there a hint of Ravel's Bolero in this? If so, mind = blown.

If there isn't, I don't care, because this is totally amazing.

  • the guy in the picture thats supposed to be van looks like a girl...

  • @cookiecutter72

It's a younger version of Van, but from the movie.

  • Who is this guy on this picture? It doesnt seem like its Van.

  • @gr8Sweetfox in the movie, Hitomi has a vision of van when she's a little girl and she doesnt know who it is, but it is assumed that it is Van...because it's the only dude Hitomi has visions of! I love escaflowne the series, but the movie totally killed it for me -_-

  • @viv11014

I didn't see the movie but I kind of am thinking that it can't be Van, because he's got dark hair and differently shaped eyes. This dude seems like a crossover between Hitomi and Van, thus, it may be a vision of their son? :) I really don't know, maybe it's just a stupid assumption, but it kind of makes sense that it could be their future child....

  • @gr8Sweetfox haha trust me, it is Van. If you watched it you'd understand. All the characters in the movie look pretty damn different, and their personalities are somewhat different too, along with some different characters! In the movie, Van is very blood thirsty D:

  • @viv11014 but also very sweet at heart..

  • @viv11014 I'm extremely wrong and im sorry. This picture is of Folken, I accidentally ran across a FAQ and they explained it thoroughly. Again I dont want to spoil the movie for you if you havent watched it, but it makes sense the way they reasoned it. This image is of a boy older than hitomi and has lighter hair. also int he movie, she has a closer connection to folken in the beginning, etc. etc.

  • YEARS PASS BUT I STILL LOVE THIS ANIME, IT BRINGS ME THE BEST MEMORIES OF MY LIFE.

I REALLY THINK THAT MY LIFE WITHOUT ANIME WOULD BE WEIRD.

  • sounds like the Hymn of the Fayth.

  • Escafl"W"one? xD

  • is there a blu-ray of this serie somewhere?

  • Damn how long has it been since i saw this one? I think i was like 11 or something. Totally for got about this anime till a few days ago when i ran into it and really dont really remember everything except that i liked it a lot. Hope they do a remake with better animation.

  • this was my very first anime that make me LOVE and ADORE fantasy animanga and YOKO KANNO-SAMA's works!! *O*... oooh and that chorus~~ -go directly to lalaland-

  • ive never seen the anime before is it good? should i watch it?

  • @KitsuneDango Yes you should. It has something for action lovers, shoujo/romance fans, and epic fantasy fans. The plot and pacing is excellent (though it gets a little foggy near the end) and the characters are really fleshed out. A great story with sublime music from the wonderful Yoko Kanno.

That said, the noses will get to you at least one point in the series. Kudos if you can watch the whole series without thinking about the abnormally long noses.

  • @pratt123

Do you mean kudos if you're not bothered by them when you see them or when you don't think about them at all?

  • @Stonezorz Kudos if you don't think about them even once while you are going through the series your first time. (which I doubt anyone has done this on their first run.)

I have gotten to the point where I don't think about them for most of the series and some scenes I do think about them but am not bothered.

But then there is always a scene every few episodes that makes me look about the noses and think "Damn, how do they not stab someone while kissing them?".

  • @pratt123

True I suppose, though I wasn't bothered by them at all. Was too involved with the story to really notice them. :D

I admit it was the first thing I thought about when I saw the first nose but I figured it fitted the art-style, wich in my opinion really did. :D

  • I always want this song,, and i finally fooundett grasias por fin..

  • Without a doubt this is just one of the best anime-soundtracks ever! The mystic touch fits perfect to the extraordinary sotryline. The final of this song makes goosebumps all over my body!

And indeed a great "old-time" anime!

  • Wow...sounds like Gregorian chant

  • That's because it is. xD

  • @Budofskytree what the hell is a gregorian chant? i am not as enlighted as you :/!

  • @xcadetex04 it is a form of singing and chanting at the same time. gregorian chant is like the first "lyrical music". the "lyrics" are repetitive, as well as the melody and usually it's in acapella. it was a form of chant to preach in church or praise god, something like that. there was a lot of royalty and religious things going on back then.

  • It was my first anime too... well, the first that gave me serious goosebumps. When I was little, it was on TV but I didn't watch or understand the whole thing but it did stay in my memory somehow... and when I became older and got to see the whole series... oh my... one of the most intense experience of my life (I mean, when it comes to tvshows, videogames, animes, movies... Escaflowne is just one of those that blew me away and left me speechless *and made me buy the DVDs very quickly*).

  • @RadicalDreamer17

    my first anime too

    like my first love

though i have grown up out of anime, the soundtrack on this series is just out of this world

  • @RadicalDreamer17 I can truly understand the way you feel. I also saw the anime when I was a kid, but wasn't able to watch the hole anime. As for now, as I have seen the full series, I can say that it just blew me away. I guess it was the first TV show to make me think about how vast the universe could be and at the same time how small we are. It made me think that there might be someone else in this universe, who just like me looks at the stars and thinks about how small we were.

  • I wish I could find the whole soundtrack.

  • wish i was van fanel or kensh in or yuske or alucard or someone awesome!!!!!

  • jute arbeit :D

  • While yes the movie wasn't half as good as the series, you've got to admit the animation was pretty good.

  • oh yes most definately. production wise it was fantastic. i just thought it fell short on story. by the way, u interested in doing a comic series. lol

  • You need to watch the series..it's much more better. It's still my favourite anime, even after years. I were very disappointed, when I saw the movie...:(

  • I have never watched this series, but this makes me want to watch it. is it any good, and what kind of anime is it?

  • It's great!

It has a bit of mecha, fantasy and I think it's a bit steam-punk.

You should definitely check it out if you have the time. :]

  • Whoah, i love steampunk, i should definitely watch this then..

  • Maybe the movie's not so good, but the series is definitely woth watching!

  • I have most of the songs for escaflowne and I can give the links but only in a PM.

  • now that I think about it, this was the first anime I ever watched. It came as a heavily edited version on Fox Kids in America. Escaflowne probably is the reason I love mecha shows since I was 8 when I watched it.

  • Now that i think about it, it was my first anime too, used to watch it when school was over, at my uncle's house, thanks for making me realize that.

  • i loved the anime.

  • I as well, obviously. ^^

  • i belive its vans sister dillandou

  • Dilandou is Allen's sister dear.

And it would make no sense to the plot were it her.

  • Dilandau is a dude... >.>

  • In the movie he is only portrayed as a man, however, in the series, you find out he is actually Allen's lost sister that Zaibach captured and did crazy ass experiments on. (That's why she's all psycho.)

  • 0:06 who is that? I've never been able to figure it out. Is it Folken?

  • There has been some speculation among people whom I've talked to so I can't exactly give you an answer, I was always under the assumption it was Van, but I think a young Folken may make a great deal of sense.

  • i think its fits more to a "Atlantis-like" Van.

Like if he would have grown up their.

  • Yeah.

That makes a lot of sense.

It gives him the mystical quality as well.

  • This is Folken. In Film Folken say it was he xD (Uhhh sorry for my english i from Poland xD)

  • Oooh, alright, I haven't actually seen the movie in a long time.

Thank you much for clearing that up!

(And no problem about the english dear ^^)

  • I have never watched the movie..^^

  • i love this song IT IS awesome

  • You can get all the Vision of Escaflowne OST from torrens, if you know how to use them.

I watch 24 hours non stop this show , it reached my heart deeply.

  • Where can I download this song? Provide pretty link please!

  • A LINK I am not sure, however if you message me perhaps we can work something out where I can send you the song.

  • Well, you can buy it!

  • In the style of gregorian chanting...

  • Ummm...yes. What of it?

  • well.. yoko kanno is a very versatile composer. I'm a musician (still student) and to see someone blend so fluidly such different composition techniques is really remarkable. I admire her ability to use literally any style of music to create the atmosphere she wants.

Of course she isn't the only one, today more and more composers are "venturing" into exotic (non western) and old composition styles. Great upload.

  • Ah, sorry...I didn't exactly understand what you were saying by your first comment. xP I can't agree more, one of the reasons why I love her is her abaility to basically compose in any genre, and combine them to make what is basically musical excellence.

Thanks, there is a "take 2" version of this song too, unfortunately I somehow lost that with a few other songs some time ago.

Off topic, however good luck in music, as much as I love it I can only manage to screech out a few notes on a violin.

  • lol! musicians are eternal students.. Thnx for the upload.

  • i love yoko kanno. thx so much for this!!

  • kinda reminds me of the zelda:ocarina of time songs.

  • yea u kan say that again yoko kanno rules

  • man it just gives you the chills!

yoko kanno and escaflowne = awesomeness

    -LokiHeart

  • I know, the feel to this song is just epic.

Yoko Kanno + anything = epic. xD

  • Yoko Kanno is the best :)

  • She is indeed! ^-^

  • amazing song

  • It is indeed! ^^

  • yupp^^

  • she truly is a amazing composer.

  • Wow...that's a blatantly disrespectful opinion.

However as long as you like the song I do suppose I can't complain.

  • Wow, this song is amazing. Thanks for putting it up!

  • XD The entire soundtrack is amazing, there are actally one or two variants of this song, you should see if you can find them. ^^

  • la pone la estava buscando esa cancion :D
