the old stuff middle stuff and new stuff are all very different. i think the new stuff is way to mainstream/pop rock and roll sounding. I like them until midian but i liked alot of damnation. The older stuff is a more gothic/dark/black metal with NO clean vocals, fast drums and lyrics, and less repetition, newer stuff has clean vocals, simplistic slower instruments and more of a hard rock.

I never realized this but this song is about a vampire and a girl and a bunch of people in the forest looking for her. the verses switch off and on between then. V1-her/them v2-him and so forth. its about her wandering into the woods, and him hearing her footsteps calling to him, him killing her, her cravings as the blood is drawn from her neck, his anger, then the people who look for her die, and she is a vampire and lalala and then queen of all vampires lalalala haha read the lyric u'll get it
