well i found it pretty easy in the first place, then i moved to a pick, i kinda alternate between my fingers and a pick depending on the song, plus i did this with my webcam which lags really bad lol

Not entirely sure he means with your fingers, he means with your fingers LIKE THAT. As in your hand is at the completely wrong angle necessary to get good intonation and speed. As this song is all on the e, it's irrelevant to a degree, however to play on alternating strings you'd struggle with your hand like that.
