This is not fake. During the Vietnam War, Monks were protesting against the French settling in Vietnam and were trying to gain some sort of democracy. They sacrificed themselves as a way of protesting. The chosen Monk, to be sacrificed, walked a long way (not literally) to be able to be the sacrifice for this process. There is a long preparation and a lot of highly focused meditation to ignore the pain of being burned alive without flinching. This is real. Not Fake.
