You could just drop 'em out the bottom like bombs and recover with a "trapeze", or make the fuselage a tunnel-type "fly-on/fly-off" deck. Of course, I'd still rather just have them take a tanker along ;)
@justforever96 Well that idea is'nt feasable for the simple fact that an SU-27(and by extension the SU-30, 35 and 37) has a wingspan of 48.23ft and the internal dimensions of an An-225 are only 14.4ft x 21ft. The only way a plan like this could possibly work would be if could tow 2 F-15s behind somthing like a C-17.
@ArsArma LOL, yeah...I've only played one of the Ace Combat games, 2 or 3, I think, but there was many, many little reminders of Star Wars in the game...especially the last mission, where you had to fly into this little tunnel and take out these "shield generators" deep in the earth. They even LOOKED like the ones in Return Of The Jedi. And then, an enemy fighter gets on your tail and tries to shoot you down. I guess you could call it "tribute" to Star Wars. =P

Here's a quick tip on the replay always changing views. Holding down RB will make it stay on whatever camera angle it's on. If it's a passing shot, the camera will stay in that spot.
How is it supposed to have a ''constant'' supply of missiles? It would be near impossible to have individual planes fly and land on it. Have th missiles unloaded then take of again. But the food supply has to run out some time.......
You are the first Ace Combat ace i met on here! usually i play with players that just crash into other planes (somehow) and never pay attention to missle alert signals...... im ussually the one killing everything and not dying, but your an even match by this video by all means, super good! 5/5, 10/10. Hey, that's impressive. I never considered using RCL like that to cause so much damage at once. It looks like you took out some of the support craft in seconds. Also, firing whilst upside down to hit the targets on the underside; nice work.
The replay editing is great, too. It's a shame AC6's engine isn't more intelligent. (Especially when it decides to track a missile which misses. Not to say that happens a lot, since, you know, I'm just so awesome :)
Fucking love this game. I still wonder however when, and it they are going to make an AC7. Release it for both 360 and PS3, because as much as a lot of fanboy Playstation players don't want to admit it (no offense, and I know a lot of PS3 players who hate fanboyism just as much as 360 players), 360 players are just as much as part of the Ace Combat community now as Playstation players
there is NO WAY that aircraft carrier would even work... the amount of wind that is passing the runway is enough to lift the plane when it " lands " ude have to use afterburners on the runway to even the speeds to make it as if u stopped,,, but hey.... im tlakin bout reality. well done to namco !!
so true... but maybe such a large craft would have a slow cruising speed that fighter-size planes could "land" with the help of a hook - a really strong one. I think Myth Busters has a new challenge, if only the budget to pull it off such a test were possible...
It would also have to hold a ridiculous amount of weight w/o the help of buoyancy, so it would be expensive and even more of a sitting duck than a sea-based carrier, since it would show up on the radar of every nation for 100s of miles
first theory considering the aircraft's structure it could be at a certain point have the capability of floating on water since look at the size of that behemoth. Aircraft landing parts would suffer from intense stresses of landing and takeoff not to also mention you must have a sh!t load of takeoff and landing space and I doubt there's enough landing space that would be ignored by convention satellite means and 4 other similar aircraft you also need room for clearance...
@AzureX26 another thing there's also the how do deal with the corrosion of salt water on aircraft parts since certain metals exposed would rust. Don't forget the number of aircraft engines (was it turbines?) that would have lots of icing forming in the venturi systems and also the power plant and fuel systems and how much of each is it going to requires at minimum to get even started. The real thing it's got going for it that it's a massive mobile, stealth, radar, warhead carrying platform...

@primehunterlol Even if you could afford that amount of stealth material, it doesn't ELIMINATE the radar signature, it just minimizes it. Even a plane like the B-2 has some return, even not including the parts that can't be hidden. Plus, the shape of the hangar bay is not very "stealthy". So, with RAM coating, that thing would still be easily "visible" from a ground-based radar, far further from an AWACS like the E-3. Not to mention, you could just use binoculars, considering how big it is! LOL.
@educationalvideos Indeed. This entire thing is utterly implausible. Maybe not "impossible", but it begs the question "why?" Airframe materials are expensive as hell, and that's like 300times the size of a C-5, let alone an F-16. Then, the 3 square miles of RAM coating, if you want stealth. It would require ridiculous amounts of fuel, unless it was nuclear/prop driven. Plus it's very vulnerable; it doesn't take much to down an aircraft compared to a ship. You can't "float it out" in a plane.
@educationalvideos CONTINUED- If one were to build an airborne aircraft carrier, an airship would be far better. An airplane needs fuel energy just to hold itself up, while an airship just needs it to go forward. But it still makes no sense...it does what a carrier does at 100 times the cost and 1/10th the fighter capacity, all while being far more vulnerable and easy to locate. Where are the BENEFITS? Give me an aircraft carrier submarine over this, any day! =)

Fair enough that there was a Propeller vs Jet Engine during WWII ( late WWII ) but i serisouly doubt with our current technology that this could possibly exist. though i must say teedan89 proved a damm good point using super magnets.
@Showtek007 Either that or use of magnets similar to a maglev for the hooks could launch aircraft faster than the carriers launch speed however there would be an alternate system for landing aircraft on the strip which could use a magnet to hold the aircraft to a slowdown.

@lucasguillen they had problems with the size of the A380 wing size.... watch the discovry channel or utube it some mroe lol the shape of the wing fluctuates bewteen the size, speed and weigh of the wing... consideirng this is an aircraft carrier i serisouly dont think it would be coming down to often to refuel. the sieze of the fuel tanks, and weight of the ful would absultly NAIL it.

@641Dragon thing is... how many trips would have to go up and down... dont get me wrong.. this i probably one of the most actual things thats capable of being built ONLY IF cost and Petrol limit isnt an issue... the only thing holding the production of it back is those 2 factors.... u could use the KC-9 Fuel tanker to reful it like mid air refuel.. but how many time s A DAY would this need to be done.... dont forget its about 300x bigger than an F 16
@Showtek007 "Wind over deck" doesn't really matter. First, you could easily just block or interrupt the airflow going into the front of the "tunnel", or use ducts and airflow to make the landing spot a "low pressure" area. But, it would make far more sense to just install spoilers in the fighters wings...aka "lift dumpers". The pilot cruises in until he's in the right spot, and deploys the spoilers, and drops. Lift requires a smooth upper wing surface...if the airflow is broken up it won't lift.
You are almost right but having a shield should sort out the problem and we won't have that any time soon ( at least 10 12 years from now).
The other option would be to close up the front of the carriers and give them an aerodynamic shape. (by the laws of physics that should work) and yes educationalvideos is definitely right about the speed.
@Showtek007 this war IS in the future, no ? we already managed to make a metal tube stay in the air for more than 5 hours carrying hundreds of people, so why not eh? and if you played the game, if you try to match the Aigaion's speed, you would stall ( without using special SP planes ) so.. may be possible

Lol, I saw a friend use an A-10 out of desperation after trying to beat this level with pretty much everything else, but because it's so slow and stable, and its autocannon is so powerful, it owns this mission.
Just hover above the agaion while the strigon team takes off, and shoot your guns toward where they exit. They'll fly right into it.
Can someone help on Mission 13, the last one with the nasty air battle at the end? I have tried everything and can't beat it on Hard level. Is the Long Range missle for the Typhoon the only thing that will work? (It's the only one I haven't tried). If I spray the AAs x6 I hit the Pasternak once in a while, but not enough. If I try to chase the Pasternak I can hit it then, but always get shot down by the others for making the tight turns. How do you do it??
I'm confused on this level. How can you take out all the planes on the carrier before they launch. Also, I've never seen the fricken thing refuel to decrease radar. Those nasty planes take off and blast me every time. I tried sweeping the deck with rocket launcher, but they still come off the carrier, where are they coming from???!!
Okay, does anybody know where the hell the ace in the F-22 is on the first mission. I've destroyed every plane on that level and I can't find him, and he is the only enemy assault record I need, PLEASE HELP!
xbox for sure. Ace Combat 6 is all on the new systems rather than PS2 or PSP. They can't handle the graphics. Maybe they can make a cheaper version on the PSP but not sure. Try to research on that bro. =)

Fucking love this game. I still wonder however when, and it they are going to make an AC7. Release it for both 360 and PS3, because as much as a lot of fanboy Playstation players don't want to admit it (no offense, and I know a lot of PS3 players who hate fanboyism just as much as 360 players), 360 players are just as much as part of the Ace Combat community now as Playstation players

there is NO WAY that aircraft carrier would even work... the amount of wind that is passing the runway is enough to lift the plane when it " lands " ude have to use afterburners on the runway to even the speeds to make it as if u stopped,,, but hey.... im tlakin bout reality. well done to namco !!

so true... but maybe such a large craft would have a slow cruising speed that fighter-size planes could "land" with the help of a hook - a really strong one. I think Myth Busters has a new challenge, if only the budget to pull it off such a test were possible...
It would also have to hold a ridiculous amount of weight w/o the help of buoyancy, so it would be expensive and even more of a sitting duck than a sea-based carrier, since it would show up on the radar of every nation for 100s of miles

first theory considering the aircraft's structure it could be at a certain point have the capability of floating on water since look at the size of that behemoth. Aircraft landing parts would suffer from intense stresses of landing and takeoff not to also mention you must have a sh!t load of takeoff and landing space and I doubt there's enough landing space that would be ignored by convention satellite means and 4 other similar aircraft you also need room for clearance...

@AzureX26 another thing there's also the how do deal with the corrosion of salt water on aircraft parts since certain metals exposed would rust. Don't forget the number of aircraft engines (was it turbines?) that would have lots of icing forming in the venturi systems and also the power plant and fuel systems and how much of each is it going to requires at minimum to get even started. The real thing it's got going for it that it's a massive mobile, stealth, radar, warhead carrying platform...

@educationalvideos No because with an cruiser that heavy...it would fall below the speed of i would say....2000 mph or so but a normal cruising speed for a car is about 30-50 MpH soo i kinda agree and disagree with your theory.but eh thats me

@primehunterlol Even if you could afford that amount of stealth material, it doesn't ELIMINATE the radar signature, it just minimizes it. Even a plane like the B-2 has some return, even not including the parts that can't be hidden. Plus, the shape of the hangar bay is not very "stealthy". So, with RAM coating, that thing would still be easily "visible" from a ground-based radar, far further from an AWACS like the E-3. Not to mention, you could just use binoculars, considering how big it is! LOL.

@educationalvideos Indeed. This entire thing is utterly implausible. Maybe not "impossible", but it begs the question "why?" Airframe materials are expensive as hell, and that's like 300times the size of a C-5, let alone an F-16. Then, the 3 square miles of RAM coating, if you want stealth. It would require ridiculous amounts of fuel, unless it was nuclear/prop driven. Plus it's very vulnerable; it doesn't take much to down an aircraft compared to a ship. You can't "float it out" in a plane.

@educationalvideos CONTINUED- If one were to build an airborne aircraft carrier, an airship would be far better. An airplane needs fuel energy just to hold itself up, while an airship just needs it to go forward. But it still makes no sense...it does what a carrier does at 100 times the cost and 1/10th the fighter capacity, all while being far more vulnerable and easy to locate. Where are the BENEFITS? Give me an aircraft carrier submarine over this, any day! =)

No matter how fucked up and crazy out-of-this-world the idea in a video game, i am prepared to think that someone has been paid good money to see if it is possible.

Fair enough that there was a Propeller vs Jet Engine during WWII ( late WWII ) but i serisouly doubt with our current technology that this could possibly exist. though i must say teedan89 proved a damm good point using super magnets.

@Showtek007 Either that or use of magnets similar to a maglev for the hooks could launch aircraft faster than the carriers launch speed however there would be an alternate system for landing aircraft on the strip which could use a magnet to hold the aircraft to a slowdown.

@lucasguillen they had problems with the size of the A380 wing size.... watch the discovry channel or utube it some mroe lol the shape of the wing fluctuates bewteen the size, speed and weigh of the wing... consideirng this is an aircraft carrier i serisouly dont think it would be coming down to often to refuel. the sieze of the fuel tanks, and weight of the ful would absultly NAIL it.

@641Dragon thing is... how many trips would have to go up and down... dont get me wrong.. this i probably one of the most actual things thats capable of being built ONLY IF cost and Petrol limit isnt an issue... the only thing holding the production of it back is those 2 factors.... u could use the KC-9 Fuel tanker to reful it like mid air refuel.. but how many time s A DAY would this need to be done.... dont forget its about 300x bigger than an F 16

@Showtek007 "Wind over deck" doesn't really matter. First, you could easily just block or interrupt the airflow going into the front of the "tunnel", or use ducts and airflow to make the landing spot a "low pressure" area. But, it would make far more sense to just install spoilers in the fighters wings...aka "lift dumpers". The pilot cruises in until he's in the right spot, and deploys the spoilers, and drops. Lift requires a smooth upper wing surface...if the airflow is broken up it won't lift.

You are almost right but having a shield should sort out the problem and we won't have that any time soon ( at least 10 12 years from now).
The other option would be to close up the front of the carriers and give them an aerodynamic shape. (by the laws of physics that should work) and yes educationalvideos is definitely right about the speed.

@Showtek007 this war IS in the future, no ? we already managed to make a metal tube stay in the air for more than 5 hours carrying hundreds of people, so why not eh? and if you played the game, if you try to match the Aigaion's speed, you would stall ( without using special SP planes ) so.. may be possible

Lol, I saw a friend use an A-10 out of desperation after trying to beat this level with pretty much everything else, but because it's so slow and stable, and its autocannon is so powerful, it owns this mission.
Just hover above the agaion while the strigon team takes off, and shoot your guns toward where they exit. They'll fly right into it.

Can someone help on Mission 13, the last one with the nasty air battle at the end? I have tried everything and can't beat it on Hard level. Is the Long Range missle for the Typhoon the only thing that will work? (It's the only one I haven't tried). If I spray the AAs x6 I hit the Pasternak once in a while, but not enough. If I try to chase the Pasternak I can hit it then, but always get shot down by the others for making the tight turns. How do you do it??

I'm confused on this level. How can you take out all the planes on the carrier before they launch. Also, I've never seen the fricken thing refuel to decrease radar. Those nasty planes take off and blast me every time. I tried sweeping the deck with rocket launcher, but they still come off the carrier, where are they coming from???!!

xbox for sure. Ace Combat 6 is all on the new systems rather than PS2 or PSP. They can't handle the graphics. Maybe they can make a cheaper version on the PSP but not sure. Try to research on that bro. =)
