On a side note, doing some other research, I found that Russian high altitude paratroops are often equipped with a full rebreather system to provide oxygen during free fall, and can function to 30 meters of depth under water, in event of going into a lake. How awesome is that? No drowning while tangled in your chute lines.

US had an airborne tank, but retired the Sheridan and passed up on buford replacement for Stryker which can't be airdropped. M113 is fine APC that can be airdropped, and can be fitted with anti-tank rockets but US Army doesn't give airborne anything heavier than a hummer I think now. US doesn't have training gear like that does it?
