hey man i got a 98 ZR500, and i want to get a airbox like that is there anyway i can find one for my sled, or can you get cold aair intake like AFM on the end of the carbs
Because they always turn the sled high rpm and its easier to read /see the tach like that... I did the same thing on my zr 440/600 sno pro with twin pipes, but i turn my sled 9300rpm
The Z440 is the sled I have, it is fan (air) cooled, and softer suspension than the ZR440. It is liquid-cooled, and more aggresive suspension and etc.
hey what is the pitch on your track my buddeh is looking for a new track and we cant find no sit to find the pitch and it is at the shop so we cant measure it??
I have a 2000 ZR 440 sno pro, over 100 hp which is stock for the limited build factory race models...I have never had someone get away from me on the trails...they are VERY fast
Its all about how you ride though...I've caught up to guys with 700s on a '99 Z 440 fan with 56 horsepower.
There reliable if you know what your doing, you have to run the right jets in your carbs for the right temps. These are race sleds if you want something you dont have to work on as much get a trail sled a zr 600 or something. My sled is reliable its a 2000 snopro, lets say it did blow a piston wich is what usually happens if anything does i can switch it out and have it back together in an hour. Just as long as the cylinder gets honed and back from the shop in that time.
I don't really want to be swapping jets and playing with my timing dial every time I want to go out on the trails for an hour. They all blow up, I had a 2000 Sno Pro 440 and it melted down so bad that I just parted it out.
I feel same way

for sell or what???????????
gull72 3 years ago
Hey how reliable are these sleds cause im looking at buying one
332clayton 3 years ago
I'd look for a ZR500 or ZR600. They aren't really meant to be ridden across lakes and long trails.
SEEKandDESTROY2 3 years ago
nice sled but riding a crf150r..step up and be a man and get a 450
600modracer 3 years ago
Dirt bikes and snowmobiles aren't even close, so don't compare then to each other (it really isn't that big of a jump as well).
