Is that the caterpillar that is the fastest animal in the world? I read in Guinness world records that there is a caterpillar that rolls itself like a wheel and is fast as hell. But I could never find the name of it again or any video of it. There didn't seem to go far though.
@MurdocLC The fastest traveling animal in the world is the peregrine falcon, which can fly down to catch a bird in excess of 150 miles/hour. The fastest muscular movements belong to the club-bearing (or pincer-bearing, in some species) forearms of the mantis shrimp.
So no, the caterpillar depicted is not the fastest animal in the world.
@MurdocLC I've never heard that record. What year of publication? Perhaps the record was for the fastest rolling animal...the fastest caterpillar...? I'm sure you're right about there being a record, but I doubt that the a caterpillar traveling, at most, 5 or 6 miles/hour could be the fastest animal on Earth.
This seems really awesome, but the camerawork could use some...well, work.
