well man, besides from the hissing sound, it sounds like its running fine. its hard to tell if its the water pump or a vacuum leak making the hissing sound, also poor quality sound to begin with. but thats ok. if the car was submerged under water, the plastic intake system on the motor should have been taken off and drained/checked for water pooling then spark plugs removed and engine turned over to expell any water that might have found its way that far into the motor. water in the....

sounds like a bad idler wheel. my 1997 mercury sable makes the same noise and my mechanic said it was the accesory drive idler or something along those lines. but it could easily be a spun crankshaft bearing.
Very odd. Just a guess, but perhaps water and mud got into your oil or dried out a bearing on a belt driven accessory. I wouldn't want to drive it that way.
I would have put my bets on Power Steering pump/ Low power steering fluid. And Id almost bet it went out shortly after.

It's not hydrolocked at all. The alternator bearing or one or more of the pulley bearings is done.

it might be near being hydrolocked. Just change the oil once or twice ,maybe 3 or more times depending on the depth of the water

@kpj200 There is no such thing as "near hydrolocked" If you engine is hydrolocked it wont even turn over let alone run. You cant compress water.
