  • I figured it was a Holy Ghost story from part 3 Andrew, u still seem to believe in holy ghosts. Too bad u believe what you believe, it's as bad as the character you played here...and the time has come....very soon....and it is never too late to return to your People and your God.....never.

  • Does anyone else want this to be a movie?

  • @GermanConquistador08 no. that would ruin it. this is storytelling at its finest

  • *claps hands* that was beautifully told!

  • you didnt got her pregnant, she got herself pregnant. There is no reason for you to sacrifice if you do not have choices as much as she does.

  • @Hulkmania316

no, they were both equally responsible. you can't blame either one of them.

  • @ogunitracy she has the pill and the morning after pill and abortion, he has nothing. They are not equally responsible.

  • @Hulkmania316

Really? A man and a woman have sex and the woman gets pregnant. and the blame falls solely at the woman's feet because she had sex with herself? If that were so ,then the baby would belong completely to the woman and would have no father. They baby belongs to both of them. They both share the blame whether the woman agrees to kill the baby or not.

  • @ogunitracy no, the "blame" does not fall on her. But she has more choices so more of the "blame", lets say better responsability falls on her. He does not have the choices she has. She got pregnant because she wants to. He just happened to had sex with her.

That is reallity, maybe you don't like it but you cannot deny that women have more reproductive choices, can you deny it?

Bye the way this is a very interesting conversation.

  • @Hulkmania316

Yes, I do believe that she has more choices. She can take measures to prevent pregnancy - as can the man - or she can kill the baby. Since I don't support abortion, I see that there is no option the woman could have taken that the man could not have taken. So, they are both responsible.

  • @ogunitracy she can refuse to have sex, count until her period, take the pill, take the morning after pill and abortion. Six choices.

He can refuse to have sex, one choice.

The man and the woman are not equal when it comes to choice so the responsability should fall on the shoulders of the one with more choices.

Abortion is a choice, some people don't like it, but it is there. But let's not take this delightfull conversation there.

Unequal choices means unequal responsability. Right?

  • @Hulkmania316

Sure. whatever you say. I'll just not have sex till I'm married. Problem solved. If all of society would just see how good that choice is, we wouldn't have so many prooblems.

  • @ogunitracy Are you serious? let's fight. Let's change things. Give men more choices and things will change. Equal choices means equal responsabilites and that would change things, society can demand responsible behaviour for men and women. Pleas oguntracy, don't give up.

  • @Hulkmania316

I'm not giving up about anything. I'm expressing my honest opinion. If sex was restricted to married people, can you not see all the problems society will eliminate. It's my opinion. In this society where you can do anything as long as you only harm yourself, we're digging ourselves into a hole we'll never get out of.

  • refusing to sacrifice is a bad thing?

  • @Hulkmania316

    when you're partly responsible, yes

  • Incredibly creepy. The ending really gave me chills.

  • So he killed her litterly?

  • He is certainly an awesome story teller

  • So he's guilty and won't admit it lol

  • I hate this kind of bamboozling, pretending it's a real story. It's become popular since Blair Witch.

  • OH!

  • that... was... WOW!! I still have chills.

  • Man this is so Edger Allen Poe style. Especially the twist at the end where he confess to the murder.

  • Thanks for ruining it.

  • Now that my initial gut reaction of "This is the creepiest thing EVER and I totally didn't expect it!" is over, the sensible, rational brain person is popping up to ask- what a minute, if she was a spirit, a ghost...why should a simple wooden door block her from getting to him? Can't she just pass right through an obstacle like that? Yeah, I know, and don't ask how come Geordie and Ro Laran didn't fall through the deck of the Enterprise when in phase form either, right?

  • Wow! The whole thing had me on the edge of my seat.

Very creepy. Excellent narrative. Reminds me of a few stories I've heard before that are pretty dang creepy. I had to hold my mouth closed during the final 2 or 3 parts of this one, though.

  • How much of this story is actually about himself lol? For a second there I thought it was a clever way to confess to a past murder lol!

  • I just shit my pants.

  • wow! brilliant story Mr. Klavan! The twist caught me off guard and your storytelling is superb.

  • Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap!

  • TWISTED!

  • Great story! The twist was a surprise! Maybe a book? WOW! Let's arrest all of Hollweird for all the bad fantasy movies they've produced! You go, Holder!

  • Great, I just read on the Drudge Report that Eric Holder has issued an arrest warrant for Andrew for murder. :( - And I thought it was just a brilliant Christmas ghost story. I guess some folks, mainly liberals, just cannot tell fantasy from reality.

  • An excellent story. the twist caught me of guard. 5 stars.

  • Hahaha Amanda, you slut!

    Shoulda swallowed ;)

  • borrrring...

  • Forgive my slowness, but is this a true story? You lost me from the moment you in the story admitted to committing murder..

  • Mr Klavan is one of the best story tellers I've heard in along time. I thought sitting & listening would be boring, but I couldn't wait for the next segment. Great Story!!

  • whoa, that was great! It was kind of like an asian horror flick, with the vengeful woman ghost. Loved it! Great story, Mr. Klavan! You had me going with that first part, but that was an incredible ghost story. Your character was NUTS.

  • Thank you, Mr. Klavan. But just too CREEPY for the CHRISTMAS season.

  • If this were TRUE, the antagonist's life would be WASTED, no matter how "successful".

There will ALWAYS be JUSTICE, in the END.

  • Sure, but in this case it's VENGEANCE not JUSTICE.

    CASE CLOSED.

  • VENGENCE in a fictional story.

JUSTICE after the real death of a real life.

Or don't you believe in heaven or hell?

    Merry Christmas!

  • ah yes, now you make sense.

    I see.

  • This WHOLE story is an ALLEGORY of a person's CONSCIENCE bothering them.

  • It was a good story, but better reserved for Halloween.

    Negative association?

Good story, but you really hate Christmas.

  • Nope. I'm pretty sure Mr. Klavan is a big fan of Christmas. I guess you've never heard of Christmas ghost stories...

  • Excellent, Andrew! Should be required listening for all teens and pre-teens in America's schools. Could possibly drop abortions by a third, and homicides by a smaller percentage. I agree with Andrew's deeper message - CHOOSE LIFE! - and your life will be better for it. I only wish I would have heard this story some thirty years ago!

  • These are the spiffed up videos of this tale. the first one was just him and no video playing in the background. It's cool that some more effort was placed into this telling, but honestly I believe the tale can be enjoyed better if anyone could just put all the videos into queue. Turn off the monitor and just listen, letting their imagination take over. Great story with a twist at the end!

  • That story was great! Now that they whole thing is out, you should put it in a single video, or a series, so we can be lazy and not search for each piece. :D

  • DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!

  • Some twist.

  • I was on the edge of my seat waiting

  • Brovo!!!

  • When he introduced this story he implied it was true. Some of the elements of this story i read before in the early 80's. So, if this is true scary Idea that we agree with a murder, even scarier that he got away with it. Whether it's true or not he does tell it well. He scared me!

  • Ghost stories told to children on Christmas Eve are an English tradition that predates Dickens. The tradition faded in America during the Victorian Era. Usually the stories had a moral commentary, like Aesop's Fables, as this one did. Great short story with perfect pacing and a surprise ending. More great work from Andrew. Nice change of pace from political commentery, and perfectly seasonal.

  • I'm actually glad someone decided to tell a ghost story at Christmas time, just to shake things up. I mean, no one got upset at Charles Dickens for writing The Christmas Carol, which by all technicality is a ghost story.

  • Yes, technically this is a ghost story, but it is not redemptive at its' end and the condemnation still hangs over him, and he, such as he is, seems unrepentant----rather than seeking forgiveness and redemption he practices what is become the MO of modern man: denial and suppression, so the poison remains within him and continues to devour him. Oddly enough his friends suffer as if they are living portraits of Dorian Gray. Strange story---especially for Christmas---have a merry one!

  • Great story, very entertaining

  • personally I kinda like Christmas ghost stories.

  • So..no happy ending, huh? Big time creepy, but why do a creepy story for Christmas? Halloween would have been better for this I think.

  • I wonder if he really telling the truth..... good story though.

  • yup, I should have known the twisted end, but no.

I'm getting too used to your style. It's good but tiresome for me. depraved...

So what's the point? to shake people up? recognize their spirituality? It's about the only positive motive I can come up with.

    I hope it works.

  • Wow. Quite a story. Very interesting how he manipulates our sympathies, first pitying Amanda, then fearing her, and then finally rooting for her to get her revenge.

  • A bizarre story about murder and ghosts. What does this have to do with Christmas?

Anyway, the story was dramatic, suspenseful, and well told. Good job.

  • Bravo, Mr. Klavan. Well done. You had me right along with you, word for word.

  • Great story Mr. Klavan!

  • WHoa.... that was intense... didn't see that coming at all.

  • whoaaaa DDD:

    ...that was really awesome...

    .... DD:

  • What will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, but loses his soul?

  • Satan loved himself more then God.

  • I would not want this world but the point is we will all be judged and some will go to heaven and some will go to hell.

Even if you do not believe, doesn't means it's not true.

  • Comment removed

  • I agree with you 100%. Well said.

  • And just because you do believe doesn't make it true either.

  • I would rather error on the side of caution on this subject but I do believe with all my heart.

Everything that is going on today,Jesus has warned us about in Revelations. No one but God could see the future that clear.

  • Really? How can you consider yourself cautious on a subject, and have blind faith at the same time? That's like saying, "I'm not sure, but I am absolutely certain."

Also, give me three examples of things happening today that are mentioned in Revelations. Can you?

  • I thought I made it clear but I guess I need to say it like -If I were YOU I would rather error on the side of caution on this subject.

For those who believe no proof is necessary. for those who don t believe no proof is possible.

Do your own homework and you might just find the truth. God talks to all men but you need to listen.

    Peace

  • Well, Zoroaster said those who don't follow him will be sent to hell with Angra Mainyu, but I'm not worried about those gods, are you? I'm not worried about Zeus' thunderbolts either.

And I wouldn't say no proof is possible. I could easily be persuaded if the evidence were presented. If God or Jesus, or what ever god, were to show itself to me and demand worship, I would drop to my knees that very second. An ancient story book in not sufficient evidence. See the Quran, book of mormon, etc.

  • That is God's test - that you believe WITHOUT proof. He requires FAITH. If HE gave proof, the whole world would believe. HIS choice to demand some effort. Your choice to refuse.

  • No, my choice is not to refuse anything. My choice is to accept this foolishness for what it is: iron age mythology. Your God is as imaginary as every other god you can think of. How many different gods and religions can you name from memory?

Chances are good you've been indoctrinated in to your specific religion since childhood, and you're too weak to shake free of its shackles on your mind. Faith teaches people to not think, and be satisfied with non-answers.

  • Have you ever taken a class in ASTROLOGY? What is YOUR theory for the existence of COUNTLESS UNIVERSES?

  • And how are we supposed to figure out which religion is the real one anyway? There are so many to choose from! Even if we knew for sure that there was one correct choice, any particular believer should expect to be wrong based on probability alone!

  • It's part of life to be closer... that's up to you

  • The saddest verses in the Bible--Jesus says the many are on the broad road to destruction; the few are on the narrow road to life. Also He says you tell the false from true by their fruits. He also says not all who call Him Lord are God's children and that counterfeits "tares" will be mixed in with true followers "wheat".

Also, look for the religion that explains the evidence best. "Billions of dead things buried in rock layers laid down by water all over the earth."

  • I meant ASTRONOMY, not astrology. HAHA

  • No one really knows where the COUNTLESS UNIVERSES came from. The Big Bang is the best theory we have, and accounts for pretty much everything we can see in the universe. Science doesn't have much to say about what exists outside the universe. I actually have no argument against a deist, or creator, god that starts the universe off and lets it run. But to take that, and turn it into a theistic, or personal god, is a non sequitur.

  • Interesting that a god might create ALL the MANY UNIVERSES, and then "let it run". Then HE would have absolutely NOTHING to do for quadseptazillion years. Now THAT makes a LOT of SENSE.

  • Ex nihilo, nihilo fit. [Don't know how to spell it.] The INFORMATION obvious in the created order had to have an intelligent source. But it is a different argument that "turns it into a personal God".

  • What information about the order of the universe is obviously created by an intelligent source? Can you give an example or be more specific?

  • Did you mean countless universes or countless galaxies? Big Bang has a major problem in that the proposed ages are too short to account for the diffusion of the heat to account for the cosmic background radiation constant. Nor can it account for the presences of "fully formed" galaxies at the furthest reaches of the universe

  • gave me chills from amanda and then his murderous revalation........seriously creepy! love it!

  • Great conclusion to the story Klavan. I watched the first video and I was like "no obama rape? well this sucks" but i decided to watch the second part and i was like ZOMG I GOTZ TA WATCH THIS

  • HOLY SHIT. Did not see that coming.

  • it gave me a new perception of the future i want to create for myself and to evaluate priorities. thanks buddy

  • Disappointing ending.

  • It was a great ending. You just need to know what the ending means. I know you are a very smart person. Just think about it and it will come to you.

    Peace

  • Everyone seemed to miss the message.

He said "is this my only life"?

Everything we do, matters. And this is not the end of who we are. We will answer to everything we do.

God cannot be mocked, a man will reap what he sows.

  • "There'll be scary ghost stories

    and tales of the glories

    of Christmas' long long ago."

This is an ancient tradition from the days when this time of year meant darkness, cold, isolation and death.

I'd have liked a Christmas miracle. I'd have liked the girl and her baby to get justice.

But Andrew's such a good storyteller, I'll still listen to the next tale.

    Merry Christmas to all!

  • Nice twist. Definitely an odd mix of Dickens meets Poe as some commentors in the earlier videos have stated.

  • That was interesting. Next year can you tell us the story of Star Wars?

  • Kinda' weird, telling such a scary story at christmas.. Anyway, great thing, gave me a cold shiver a few times..!

  • Ending kinda disappointed there, Andrew. I found it to be a little too dark for a Christmas story. But still, it was chilling. Merry Christmas!

  • I love Klavan!

But I want to see a part 6 of some kind to explain what we just watched..

  • Why?

  • craziest shit by far PJTV has come out with, Klavan is the man.

  • This was a great story, but I'm really wondering why Andrew Klavan is telling it. Telling ghost stories is definitely not his style (unless it had a cultural or political moral, but if the story's over I can't tell).

  • If you seen his sight he wrights thriller stories and looks like he likes telling them to.

  • Epic!

  • hmmmmmmmmmmm...Kinda took a turn I didn't see coming

  • You're the man Andrew!

Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful wife.

  • so this was a prologue to a book right? cuz if thats how the story ends the.....WTF man.

  • I can't take it anymore!
