@thedomonator apparently the original cranks were modular and pressed together so if one chose...? and had extra donor engines...? a bespoke crank could be reassembled into any combination.
sounds like a 4-stroke V4 (180 crank honda VFR) with a high frequency 2-stroke sound overtop. or more likely, that crankshaft has some crossplane elements to it (90 degree throws) and it's akin to a 2-stroke version of yamaha's current R1. bassiest 2-stroke i ever heard. best of the lot. in short, how many of my children do i have to sell...??? LOL
it sounds like 12 bikes simultaneously together lol. It's such shame they have that massive vibration sound as the revs get higher. tell u wot u shud do the vid again but take the airbox of and you will cream your pants to eternity!!
What a great machine you built. It has an interesting eerie, "ghostly" sound, like the original sound is in the background, but haunted by another tune... weird!
I'd be interested to hear more about power & torque, anything technical you can add, when you get the time to post again (I can guess at the fuel consumption!).

Yet ANOTHER latterday brainwashed Safety Boy. I hope you wore your yellow conspicuity jacket as you typed at the computer, so that everyone could "see" you, to avoid an "accident".

Wonderful to hear and see in motion this marvelous mutant. I was given one of the very earliest H-1 "widowmakers" by American Kawasaki back in 1968 and rode it hard through the California foothills. Pogo-stick suspension, poor weight distribution and marginal brakes, but FAST and FUN. Thanks for building and posting this beauty.
what a treat! I've just been reading a Classic Bike mag article about your work. your training on files reminded me of my apprenticeship . . . do you have video of the v-twin Honda 50?
That is COOL! Sounds like an Audi version of a chainsaw! You have done some absolutely brilliant work, just got done reading an article on your bikes and I am very impressed. Was the crankshaft a custom forging, or did you weld pieces together into one crank?
Five is too wide.I'd prefer a four. But it's awesome still, of course.

I really like the sound of these older 2 cycles with chambers on them. Sounds like a chorus of tolerable noise.
