I got to meet Atom, Dave and Matt in 2008. They are so nice. I chatted with Atom for like 20 minutes just talking about random shit. I asked him about playing in the Offspring (my FAVORITE band ever) and how he enjoyed playing in AVA. I got a picture with him too. Tom was like 5 feet from me but was surrounded by a horde of fans so I couldn't get to him :(

You know what hatters... Tom sings like an amazing singer... But beyond that. The music isnt about his voice being good or bad... He's even stated he didn't care how that sounded... But simply how the music sounds... "SPACE ROCK!!!" And if the lyrics match up to the songs themselves. This is song is amazing!!! Lyrics and the music itself. And Tom Delonges so called "horrible" voice is what makes AVA, Blink 182, Box Car Racer unique. So go if you think he sucks, dont bother looking at the vids.

I hate when you guys talk about in every video of AVA live that Tom sounds bad, when they record these things professionally live, they are straight from the mixer and soundboard, which makes vocals sound different, that's why the vocals volume is messed up. I have seen Blink 182 live last summer and AVA live in April, and Tom sounded amazing, even better than the studio versions of songs.

@killingspeedrun he broke his back in like, 2002 he's singing was pretty shaby on BCR's tour, i'm not sure why, he was possibly stoned, not permanant damage of his vocal chords, after that his singing came back fairly strong, his voice all through 2003 - 2004 was great, blinks untitled album was his best singing to date and he can match that live (down at the teen choice awards) it was not painkillers that messed up his voice, he used vicodin, vocal chord damage is not a side effect of vicoden

The reason for the "Technical Difficulties bit" was to give Atom time to get from one kit to the other, I do agree that they could have done the change a little better then the way they did, but then it's better then just silence and everyone watching them do the switch over. Also i don't know who did the sound for this show but it was horrible the sound guy should be fired, Atoms drums sound terrible and the vocals have way more reverb on them then is ever needed.
