If I remember correctly, Linda also had breathing problems stemming from her pregnancy around this time. So...anyone saying she's a horrible singer is a) a jerk and b) really misinformed. She was going through a horrible time but she still blows away any other version. She's astounding.

LT suffered from a condition called Hysterical Dysphonia which came on very badly towards the latter part of her time with RT. The break down of their marriage is rumoured to have worsened the condition somewhat. This performance may well highlight the problems she faced with this condition.

Linda actually lost her voice for a really long time. I think a few years. I mean, she totally lost it. Couldn't speak. Maybe this was the beginning? I think it was still functional. Her voice is gorgeous at it's best.

Linda had a condition that came on, I would guess, around this time, in which she lost her ability to stay on pitch. I think it's called dysphonia. That might explain this awful performance--the beginning is a non-melodic mess. And then she just shouts. But maybe she just sucked live?

What happened to the other live version of Bright Lights? It had the Middle Eastern-sounding intro like this one, but it wasn't for a TV show, and Linda looked really sexy, and she was bopping around.

Are the labels on a rampage again, taking down clips due to "copyright" bullshit?
