(read other on 1st) That all means that in theory you can play a set with just one DNS1200, maybe use the sampler on the DDM4000 to make the transition smoother, Its a neat trick, which I haven't attempted live yet! Also if you join the 2 units together with THE CORRECT RJ45 (ethernet) cable, unit 1 can play anything from the USB port of unit 2. So many possibilities so little time. Always keep the firmware up to date as well, cos new functions get added, like hybrid time code play. Enjoy!
@DoctorBastardo Damn, this trick could make my dj life so much easier! I knew about the 'next track' and use it love sometimes if I don't have enough time,
but I didn't know you could play from usb on player one from the USB stick on player 2, I NEED TO HAVE THAT CABLE!!
Hi Superbunny007, The DNS1200s are capable of reading and playing 2 tracks from the same media (CD,USB,MP3CD etc) The tracks cannot be played together however you can choose another track from same media whilst one is playing, the when you play the new track they will fade into each other for (i think) 10seconds or so. Its all done with the parameters dial. You'll have to check the manual for exact instructions, theres a PDF version on the DNS1200 disc as well.
Exactly my rig! I just added a DNSC2000 cos I love the Denons and Behringers functions so much I dont wanna waste em on midi control , even though they all do it very well. (Forced to use Digi deejaying as all promos are sent that way now). Sweet little mix bro, I use the echo loop function a lot. Do you ever use the playing 2 tracks from one CD trick the that DNS1200s can do? PS whats the track that starts at 12.21
@superbuny007 probably! :D oh and btw can i use a pc as the main speakers? like if i connect my dns's to a ps will the sound come out of the speakers?
if you mean, connecting to pc's via midi mode to your pc so you can play songs via tractor or another dj pogram, then yes you can, but the mixer (unless you put it into midi mode too) will be useless)
now, half of the time i'm running traktor 2 hooked up to the denon dn-s1200's, but they are always directly hooked from denen dn-s1200 ----> mixer <------ denon dn-s1200, ist's just because it's a bit darker at the back of the cdplayers
the mixer is well worht it's money, especially since the four channels come in very handy of you wanna hook up another 2 turntables, an ipod, your pc...
as for the midi, well it works but it's not so implementable, if you hookup the two turtables to traktor (or some other dj software) and you see to it that the software uses the turtables audio output then you can use the mixer w/o hooking it up to your computer (which is the best option)
if only had a bug 2 times in over 8 months, that's that the one of the players suddenly freezed, but their awsome players, i've also had the chance to play with pioneer cdj 400, but I still think this is the best one of the two,if you wanna start to dj, this is the shit!

@DoctorBastardo i've bought an RJ45 cable, and it does link up the 2denons, but it doesn't let me play a file from usb stick in player B on player A

it's like tapping with your feet to the tempo of the beat, I do it by pressing the CUE button insteed of my feet
superbuny007 7 months ago
@superbuny007 i just do it to make sure that its cued up.. and to make sure that the beat sounds good with the other song..

@superbuny007 how do i put it into midi mode? i got the denon dnx120
Friizky 4 months ago
@Friizky
wait let me restart; cuz my last post isn't very clear
you put your dn-s1200's into midi mode
on ur pc: open "Denon DJ ASIO driver"
check the two denon's
go to traktor/other DJ program
set your mixer type to "external"
configure ur outputs
& now the sound from deck 1 on ur Pc goes out the output of ur first denon & the sound of deck 2 on ur pc goes out the output of ur second denon
ps: see to it that both denons are on a different midi channel (internal setting of the dn-s)

they are very nice! but keep them dust free, the play button and cue button wear out after a time if you don't protect it good enough egainst dust
superbuny007 7 months ago
Nice mix dude! By the way are you using an external audio interface? as I don't see the RCA outs going out of the denons. Are u running traktor?

2) 'killer' - jean ellan
3) 'get shaky' - ian cary project (think it's a remix actually)
4) 'pacha on acid' - Afrojack
5) 'riverside' - sidney samson (the one @4:27)
6) come and let's go - (I can't remeber the name of the artist)
7) Flashback - calvin harris (can't remember the remixer)
8) black is black - (can't remember this one neither
