Pay no attention to the nay sayers they are deluded.I would put this up against any wannabe analogue softsynth when it comes to rattling speakers and grinding the fuck out of the dance floor.Trust me,a Delta can be used to make brilliant dance tracks. You could make a cool dance track from just a Delta, some cool drum loops/sounds from an old sampler and a co to record it all and mess about with the audio.
"8Iamretarded8" - can I ask you a question? You say "if tweaked will play last note played as a sequenced pattern" - how do I do that as I just got mine. Thanks, cmf
I dreamed wildly about this synth when I was young. The synth/string combination attempted me a lot. Today, it may not be concidered as Korgs finest moment, but it is still an interesting piece in my opinion, far from "garbage". The Delta has possibilities which should be interesting for any analogue-synth lover. I wouldn,t mind laying hand on one of these given the price was reasonable. Nice post!
& no mention of the trigger input?!! tho the delta doesnt have cv control, it can be triggered from a DAW (or any suitable audio impulse) to play any held keys or if tweaked will play last note played as a sequenced pattern. i just created some wonderful chord-like morphing hihats, hard kick, in ya face nob twiddling filter seq lines & much more on this using an audio file i created in cubase
I used this synthesizer back in 1982 through 1984. Absolutely one of the worst sounding pieces of garbage I've ever had. Not that Korg doesn't make great synths, but this wasn't one of 'em.
You always hear about the monopolys and polysixs etc..but never the sigmas, the deltas, and the lambda synths they also made right around the same time.
Korg Delta is a hidden masterpiece of Analogue.

I couldn't afford the 'real' synthesizers of the time, e.g. - Prophet 5, Oberheim OBXa, Memorymoog, etc. Didn't have a choice...

@pmfith so despite it being "garbage" which I disagree with anyway, you continued to use it for 2 years :/
