  • Not a bad Joker voice impression either really.

  • oh hell i'll laugh anyway HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAHAHAHAHA

  • Lord Jazor is a better Joker impersonator. look him up!

  • Posted entire Transcript, for teh lulz

  • Do you know how many times we've come close to world war three over a flock of geese on a computer screen? Do you know what triggered the last world war? An argument over how many telegraph poles Germany owed its war debt creditors! Telegraph poles! Ha ha ha ha HA! It's all a joke! Everything anybody ever valued or struggled for... it's all a monstrous, demented gag! So why can't you see the funny side? Why aren't you laughing?

  • My point is, I went crazy. When I saw what a black, awful joke the world was, I went crazy as a coot! I admit it! Why can't you? I mean, you're not unintelligent! You must see the reality of the situation.

  • Something like that, I bet. Something like that... Something like that happened to me, you know. I... I'm not exactly sure what it was. Sometimes I remember it one way, sometimes another... If I'm going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice! Ha ha ha! But my point is...

  • You had a bad day once, am I right? I know I am. I can tell. You had a bad day and everything changed. Why else would you dress up as a flying rat? You had a bad day, and it drove you as crazy as everybody else... Only you won't admit it! You have to keep pretending that life makes sense, that there's some point to all this struggling! God you make me want to puke. I mean, what is it with you? What made you what you are? Girlfriend killed by the mob, maybe? Brother carved up by some mugger?

  • So... I see you received the free ticket I sent you. I'm glad. I did so want you to be here. You see it doesn't matter if you catch me and send me back to the asylum... Gordon's been driven mad. I've proved my point. I've demonstrated there's no difference between me and everyone else! All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That's how far the world is from where I am. Just one bad day.

  • You need to find a friend who does a good Kevin Conroy (or get Kevin Controy himself) to do batman's response.

  • where can i find a writtien script cause i need it for a monolouge

  • @Werehog7723 The Killing Joke can be found in just about any comic book store on earth. The price should be reasonable.

  • the last laugh... just.. creepy.

  • The sad thing about Heath Ledger's Joker, brilliantly acted btw even tho I don't care much for the film, is that he barely laughed. I think I prefer the comic book/animated series joker. In those he's funnier and crazy and likable all at the same time, plus his look is more comical and i must say I HATE Jack Nickleson's joker look, that was just a little too freaky...

  • The audio is from forristfire101 mostly

  • I honestly think the Joker is the most sane person I've ever seen.

  • @Shasyu91 How so?

  • impresionant and true....

  • at 0:28 how come it's on the history channel?

  • @blackoutxrauv documental

  • @streneck is it a documentry about comic books or something like that

  • OOOOH HAHA HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44 HAHA 2:44

  • I read this comic when i was 11 and WOW it was quite dark, violent and explicit but it blew me away, my second fave Batman graphic novel after Year One.

  • Alan Moore worst work.....geez that guy was awesome.

  • The first time i heard this the way that Mark Hamill or someone sounding like mark hamill can only do i was taken back...the Joker is my favorite villian of all time, but more and more little bits of information make me feel that he's much more than the crazy demented Joker that batman tells us he is. He is still a crazy physco, but there is a bit more to him

  • I memorized this WHOLE monolog. By the end it was driving me crazy.. He.. He... hahahahaha AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder if thats true about the telegraph poles?

  • its funny because its true enougth said so just smile and laugth its not going to kill you

  • does anyone know the actual name of the song in the video from batman returns?

  • @Fr492001 On the soundtrack, It's just called "The Finale."

  • I heard that Mark Hamill would actually be interested in doing an animated movie version of "The Killing Joke". Of course Arkham City was supposed to be his last performance as the Joker, but I think doing "The Killing Joke" would end his Joker career on a much more poetic note don't you think?

  • I had a bad day once... But now that I think of it, it makes me want to laugh... ha.. ha... HA... Ha... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

  • @Ilovecaptainjack224 >:D we got another one, Mistah J!

  • Great video

  • scary.. i really want to get the killing joke comic book

  • there is more than one version of "return of the joker" though.

  • The music is from Batman returns, but you all probably know that.

  • it was completely perfect until the other jokes started laughing with him

  • What episode is the one from where he is watching that film in the theater?

  • @angelusdemorte3 That's from the movie "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker."

  • 1:48 batmans watching batman and robin

  • very good impression. kudos

  • Where did they get Mark Hamill saying The Killing Jokes lines? I'd love to see an animated movie.

  • @Mazmorrero2 A friend of mine on YouTube did the voiceover. His channel is in the description.

  • awesome work, both in the sound and the edits. Would love to see more!

  • Mark Hamil should be Casted as the Joker for a live action Batman movie.

  • Some people say that The Joker is so SANE the world just doesn't make sense to him. I prefer the crazy angle myself. :]

  • what's the name of the episode at 0:16

  • @155Maki its over the edge.

  • its weird the killing joke is almost more of a batman centered story then joker what the joker is really trying to say is that mentally him and batman are exactly the same there both insane really the joker just embraces his insanity were as bat man pushes it away and develops it in other forms such as his costume at the end when batman and the joker laughed together it just proved there one and the same

  • @ChocoAssCreme I disagree. I think the ending showed that Joker continues to see them as one and the same (hence his joke about two lunatics escaping an asylum). I think they are on the same wavelength but Batman channeled his misery into something meaningful while joker gave in to it and dedicated himself to destroying that which has meaning to anyone.

  • @ChocoAssCreme You're correct. If you listen to Alan Moore talk on the subject, the "joke" is that Batman is pretty much as psychotic as The Joker. What's so strange is that while The Killing Joke is one of the most popular Batman stories to date, it's clearly a criticism of Batman and the superhero genre. This is what separates Moore from people like Frank Miller. Moore shows up the problems with antiheroes, while Miller glorifies antiheroes.

  • Because I've heard it before...

...And it wasn't funny the first time. >:(

  • @007iloveJesus It depends... the telegraphpole insident is seen by many as the spark that set WO2 off. Aparently France occupied Rurh after Germany failed to deliver telegraphpoles, this was a severe blow to the german already weak economy. Hitler used this poor state of Germany to rise with promises of a better future.

Hitler may have had pure motives about helping Germany out, but his methodes and price to realise this where off the chard wrong...

I love this insight into the Joker BTW =)

  • that..Was...amazing......

  • alaan more > stan lee

  • The Killing Joke is by far the best Joker story ever written.

    Thank you, Alan Moore.

  • this is really well done, great Mark Hamill impression. Bonus points for the music and video. I'm gonna have to dust off the old comics boxes and see if I can find Killing Joke again, thank you both!

  • I LOVE the background music from Batman Returns! Its so perfect with this

  • Dude where does the History Channel footage come from?

  • @TaraKitaideHunter It comes from the documentary "Batman Unmasked."

  • @TaraKitaideHunter i was just gonna ask that lol

  • what is the voice over from ? movie? episode?

  • @villest1 The voiceover was done by a friend of mine on youtube. The link to his channel is in the description.

  • @nerdsman567 wow thats incredible! i was about to say ..since when was the killing joke made into a movie?

  • @nerdsman567 damn nice. i actually thought it was mark hamill until i scrolled down.

  • If u could remake this could you put scenes from "The Batman" and "Under the Red hood" in it?

  • @ceitiosaurus I could. But since this vid is stands well where it is already, I feel I don't have to.

  • @nerdsman567 /_\, Poo

  • @nerdsman567 /_\, Please? just to see how it looks. atleast send it to me.

  • @ceitiosaurus

"the batman" was a piece of shit made for children's retardation programing on television

under the red hood was great though

  • Not only is this an awesome voice impression from an awesome story, but it has Penguin's death music in the background. AWESOME!!!

  • why applogies to alan moore? thats what I don't get, unless thats the joke.. lol., really well done tribute

  • why didn't u use clips from the batman with kevin michael richardson?

  • WHere can I see the comic book animation of The Killing joker? Was it on Hitory? 2:01

  • This makes me wonder, is the Joker really mad or just the most sane person on the planet.

  • @Primality5 The scary thing is, not even the writers of DC are sure how to answer that question.

  • you forgot the scenes from episodes of "The Batman"

  • The Batman Returns score fits well with the dialog.

  • People alwyas say that batman is overated. This right here proves why his character holds more resonence than most of DC's most developed characters put together. The story around the bat's relationship to his patcy and confidon the Joker is one that still to this day inspires and has fans hoping to see this in the next movie.

  • If it'd been me, I'd have used a better Heath Ledger laugh at the end of the film.. He did better one's than that in the movie, for example; the one where he does that Threat video and interrogates Brian Douglas for being dressed up as the Dark Knight..

  • The Joker is really Tom Nook a local shoe sales man at a mid ranging paper suppily company that has a double life due to his girlfriend cheating on him with a paper salesman named Jim Halpert.

  • you can call me impressed. this video was amazingly done.

  • Inconceivably good voice acting

  • I have to admit, Moore's words read in Hamill's voice over Elfman's score... I think I nerdgasmed a little bit.

  • Oh my. I got chills when all the jokers laughed. Thrrrilling!

  • this explains sooooooooooooooo much

  • omg what is that at 1:23 - 1:38 is that why the joker is white??? i thaught he wore maKE up AND OMG LOVEE THE VIDD :D

  • What does he mean by "geese on a computer screen"

  • @john3000931

Allegedly in the 1950s when the Cold War was starting a flock of Canadian geese showed up on the US missile defense radars and the technicians thought they were Russian bombers and nuclear missiles were nearly launched at Russia in retaliation.

This may or may not have happened. However, there have been other real life, similar situations involving meteors and shit that have nearly caused WW3.

That hit song in the 80's "99 Luftballoons" was about this topic.

  • Mark Hamill is by far the best .

  • BECAUSE I'VE HEARD IT BEFORE AND IT WASN'T FUNNY THE FIRST TIME!

  • Its soooooooo true

  • Woah.. that was rlly good. ima sub =D

  • holy crap, he sounds just like Mark Hamill!

  • What episode of Batman the aminated series did they reval the joker's past?

  • @JRitter1993 They revealed bits of Joker's past in the episode "Mad Love." They also did it in the movie "Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm."

  • @JRitter1993

btas: mask of the phantazim movie

Tnba: Mad Love, Beware The Creeper

  • Comment removed

  • That was fantastic! You did a great job with the voice!

  • this gets me misty eyed

  • @mojoeldiablo same

  • That voiceover was practically perfect! And loved the music in the background and slides. Awesome thumbs up

  • When I watched these movies and cartoons as I kid, I always rooted AGAINST Batman and FOR the Joker. And I still do. I love Joker. I don't care if he came to my house and killed my whole family. Fuck it. I STILL love the Joker. I'd rather hang out with the Joker than Batman any day of the week. x-P

  • @0toHero ...dude...I did the same thing...I wanted to BE the joker...

  • Where did this excerpt come from????

  • @rbakbrown The voiceover was done by the amazingly talented Pgirts. You can check out his channel if you'd like. The link is in the description.

  • Every joker is fucking brilliant, fucking funny, and lovable.

  • when did the history channel do somthing on the joker???????????

  • @potentialpenguin They did a documentary on Batman called "Batman Unmasked."

  • does it make me crazy that i'm agreeing with the joker

  • a beautiful performance.

  • I liked that speech he gave in the end.

  • THAT SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE MARK!!!

  • You made Mark Hamill very proud with this... very proud.

  • Thanks! I hope I have.

  • I know you do. With enough practice, you may one day be the next Joker but Mark Hamill will always be remembered as the true Joker.

  • Actually, Pgirts did the voiceover, I only did the video and editing.

  • I see. It was still very good.

  • what was that History channel thing with the animated Killing joke panels that was cool?

  • It was a documentary called "Batman Unmasked." I came out when The Dark Knight came to theaters.

  • Batman unmasked is also on the blu-ray edition of the dark knight

  • @LightVSDarkness64 that's what i was wondering about?!

  • Whats the music playing during the credits? Thanks!

  • The Joker's Death from 'Batman (1989)'

  • Do you know where I can find it? Sorry, thanks

  • I just took the audio from that scene and put under the "audio" category in Windows Movie Maker. You can find it by just typing it into YouTube's search engine.

  • "You've lost, Batman. Robin is mine. And the last sound you'll hear will be our laughter."

A million points to whoever names what that's from.

  • I know, it's from "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker!"

  • Correct. Enjoy your million points.

  • who doesn't know that?

  • @LightVSDarkness64 people who dont have the blue ray edition of the dark night

  • They should totally make this the next dc animated feature, with mark hamill as the joker. I would die of happiness.

  • Same dude

  • @kylesullivan96 They should hace Christpoher Walkens as the joker. he is perfect for the part

  • @kylesullivan96 Mark Hamill said he's done doing joker after arkham city

  • @kylesullivan96 Mark Hamill is retiring from voicing the Joker after Batman: Arkham City.

  • if think the joker gets freakier in every movie or show

  • @pozerpopz not in the cartoon... he just kind of gets more and more dumbed down....but i mostly agree whit you

  • @pozerpopz eh , 90's Animated Joker was the craziest to me , The Batman's Variotion was good , but not the crazy you'd expect from Joker . You cant just suit up a mad man and claim him as Joker , he'dve been a good char with a changed name though .

  • i'm slacking i got to make more videos of my voice since you all like mark hammil so much hahahaha

  • ending was awsome

  • good. Ya know, they outta really do The Killing Joke as an animated movie. If done right, you have one of the best animated movies ever as well as a good Batman movie (But it'll be a Joker movie). Great vid.

  • Thanks! And you know, I had that same idea! Turning The Killing Joke into an animated movie would be the best Batman movie yet!

  • If they can do Batman Gotham Knight with anime, I bet they could do it with Killing Joke. If you watched the one segment Test Drive, it was pretty much close to Death Note in character design. It would be cool to see Mark Hamill doing the voice again, especially this line. If u could send me the audio for this, I was planning to make a video with this audio. thanks for making a cool video!!!!

  • No I think it'd be better to do it similar to Superman/Batman Public Enemies with those same voice actors. Gotham Knight was okay, and I think it was Kevin Conroy as Batman, but honestly the animation could've been better.

  • Really emotional - great use of that audio as well. He really does do a great Hamill impersonation.

  • This video is very emotional and it's a REALLY good interpitation on what I was feeling when I read this scene. The KIlling Joke is the best

  • this was pretty cool, I liked all the video and how it somewhat fit the scene from the story, but I still like mine better lol

  • Aw shucks...thanks man. I will get those lines done eventually, I've just got A LOT on my plate right now. This vid was awesome!

  • Very nicely done, as always, as if you've assumed his dark spirit once more. There was something almost haunting about it, as well.

  • That was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
