  • I haaateeee when my dad says urusai..

  • I'm an italian, living in London and learning japanese :D

I find your style to explain funny and nice. Well Done!

Hopefully one day I'll be able to talk properly ò.ò

  • Best octopus impression.

  • I was speaking in japanese to a guy i just met who was very rude and annoying. he didnt understand that i called him a bastard and told him to leave me alone and shut up. he thought he was clever by trying to speak another language at me (Spanish) luckily I know more spanish than japanese... He said some profanities and the conversation ended when I said Su MADRE es PUTA! Jajajaja <3

  • omg your glasses

  • please learn u r country history before tring to teach anyone

  • is saying uzee cool in japan??

  • Hello. I can't find info anywhere, but it shoud be easy for native speaker ;).

What it means ここいらじゃ? Sorry for bothering.

I watched your videos before, and you seemed like nice guy to ask ;) Had some problems with finding your lessons now. But here you are! ;)

    Greetings.

  • Those glasses make you look like Kizaru from One Piece hahahahaha.

  • .......why r u wearing those glasses?

  • Does 'Kyowa' or whatever the romaji is mean 'today'?

  • @TheMayusama 今日=kyou. So, yeah.

  • Wah~! this is funny~!! i love it!!! make more videos please~~!!!! =D

  • kimoi means gross

  • ちょう面白い! \(^O^)/

  • lol this lesson is challenging for a person who has real attention issues (adhd) but i still try to concentrate .^_^

just answering -->>.."lt see how you can handle with this creepy guys lesson..."

fairly well .much .better than a boring lesson ,thank you

  • oh another pair of crazy glasses ...awesomee

  • wow the music is really creepy lol.

  • I'm sorry, I couldn't pay attention after you started waving your arms around like an "octopus". To couple that with the glasses, I just couldn't take anymore. Nice video, though.

  • if you hate taking pictures and someone's about to take a picture of you can you be like, "kimochiwarui :("

  • Those glasses are sick Www

  • I need a pair of those glasses!

  • I never tried octopus...I want to eat it :D

  • Just subscribed. Learning Japanese from you is fun.

  • Kimoi is my new favorite snowboarding word! I promis I'll have people saying it in Canada within the year! (does it make sence?)

  • @shawnabgoode

Why using ''Kimoi'' when you do snowboading? lol If you ever have opportunity to use it when snowboading, let me know. I'm curious :)

  • @runnyrunny999 "sick" is english slang for good. Like a good jump or something. only really in snowboarding. but snowboarders use it for other things like a nice car or jacket. "Hey man, sick car!" Songs can be sick.... But sick also means yucky or disgusting in lighter slang. And just for good measure, it can also mean sick like feeling sick. So I thought I could stretch the meening of kimoi in the same sort of way.

  • @runnyrunny999 Well if you break your arm or something when you go snowboarding and it gets all twisted and messed up, I guess that's creepy =O

  • @runnyrunny999 It doesn't really work in the way he is trying to use it i think...."sick" in English slang can mean something cool or badass....say if someone does something really cool while snowboarding you would so "Oh! That was sick!"

but with they way Japanese seems to function as a language this meaning I feel would be lost in translation. "Kimoi" is a negative word or utterance so there for would come of as an insult not a compliment.

At least from what I can gather I could be wrong.

  • @runnyrunny999 Maybe when someone cracks their skull open and you see their brain.

  • @runnyrunny999 Think the snowboarder is using the translation of kimoi as "sick", which in the last several years has become slang here for "awesome" "cool" etc. so when he does something impressive, someone might say, "That was SICK!" Sort of similar to the slang "bad" in the 1980s, where bad actually meant something good.

  • those arent his eyes are they...

  • i WANT YOUR GLASSES Mr Freaky Sense!

However you look super "kimoi" with it! :)

  • LOL the glasses.....

  • Hey runnyrunny! I discovered your channel about a week ago, and I really like your vids! I've always been fascinated about Japan and I will go there someday and experience it! I tried to study some japaneese long ago, I don't remember much of it though. One word I remember is "Sugoi!" isn't that slang word for Super or very good or sumthing?

    Keep making vids dude =)

ps: Sushi best food in the world!

  • @MickeRamone runnyrunny is great but if you really want to see good videos about Japan go to my profile then to Japan Channel, that guys videos are great! also if you could promote my venture to show what life is like in America that would be very helpful, thanks! =]

  • you look funny dude :D

  • Believe it or not , i never say shut up to anyone :) at least not directly , i might think of it and say it in my mind.If i say it it means i disregard the conversation partner's point of view and it's awfully rude.I'd be very embarrassed to say such a thing .

  • Urusai! I will use this! Very nice. Don't be nervous. You're doing wonderful! I really admire how you stick to it.

  • uzai baka..desu...? ;D i failed at forming a japanese sentence

  • How do I say, "I think runnyrunny999's facial hair is cute?" ;)

But honestly, I'm going to probably use "kimoi"...at least in my mind. I met a customer at work the other day who had really bad, flaky skin...that was falling off his hands and onto the counter. Kimoi!!!!

  • @Dhesyca LOL!!!!

  • could you explan me why (i think in tokyo mainly) the ppl who is talking seems like he/she has to think a lot about what he/she is going to say and therfore the sentences are like said in pieces

  • Thank you for the lesson, it's very useful :)

    Quick text recap:

Uzai (from urusai)- Slang for shut up

Kimoi (From kimochi warui)- Slang for bad feeling, or "creepy"

  • Uzai ( from uzattai) - Slang for shut up.

Young people use uzai or uzee rather than urusai. But remember it's a little rough and rude.

  • haha the glasses are very convincing ;D

    Thanks for the lesson!
