Bring back Friends Commercials miss them they are engaging and most likeable pair so now your ad minds have to bring it to new funny level. I am waiting for the next bust of creativity that keep the friendship going. They have a audience I love them they make me smile.
I would really love to fuck that chick, Amy or what ever her name is, while she reads something on the kindle. I can't be the only one who thought of that, can I?
Everything these commercials point out as "advantages" over physical books are all essentially meaningless. Kindle holds over 3500 books. Even if you read 100 books a year it will take you almost 35 years to read that many books. So I don't get why "Holding 3500 books" is an advantage. By the time you read that many books your Kindle will be a dinosaur of technology and you will be a fossil.
duuhhh i thought you had could based storage? wouldn't that mean that you could keep unlimited amount on it as long as you are in reach of some online connection???
finally an answer regarding the song!! "the song was written just for amazon for the commercials. its registered name is "poolside." it was co-written and vocals by jacob steele, who's also in the band jakarta. jacob steele's other songs, including "hold me tight," are on jakarta's youtube page or facebook page."
@JerridPayne I don't care about either the Kindle or the iPad. I'm just pointing out how terrible this commercial is. Why do you care so much about my reaction, bro?
Each ad presents a single selling point. The "big purse" theme was a clever pretext to make the point about the Kindle's high capacity. The execution was well done. Keep 'em coming!
YO KINDLE--Every single one of your "Friends" ads has the same song as well as the "Pool" ad. And on every single video, you've got tons of people dying to know the name of the song. Just tell us already!!!
@boriqua8993 I'm not sure if someone has told you or not but it's called "Fly Me Away" by Annie Little, it was free for download on amazon awhile back when the commercial first came out.

@flawns Actually I have considered that. However, I (and countless others) would still like for them to tell us whether or not it's for download somewhere. Many companies will post song information on their YouTube videos, even if the song was specifically made for the particular commercial.
@boriqua8993 Why is it every time an Orangutan burps to a beat there's SOMEBODY out there that wants to know the name of the song. In the 60's you know what we would call this "song"? A jingle! A commercial jingle. And we wouldn't have thought twice about it outside of the commercial it was in. Plus the Good N Plenty jingle is much better.
@TeamRobbiePattz the song is called "poolside" and it was written just for amazon. co-written and vocals by jacob steele, who's also in the band jakarta. you can check out jacob steele's other work on jakarta's youtube page or facebook page. look up "hold me tight."

How many times does he have to tell her how AWESOME a Kindle is before she finally gets one for herself !!?!!
I have the Kindle app for my phone and it is 10x better than the Nook app.
I'll read books on my break at work and just buy a new one when I'm finished with the last one, instaed of having to wait until I get home to pick out a new book.
it's ridiculous that we compare the ipad to the kindle it just makes stupid debates they both have different puroposes so you can read on the ipad big deal everyone needs to get over it
@ChocolateLoverHAHA everybody is blind in my generation so u could just get an ipad and then you have tons of other things besides books so with the extra weight you get more shit
Nice homage to the old Apple ads. To be fair though, if books came with a download code to download them after I'd bought them physically the way movies do, I'd be more into it. I like my bookcase with it's hundreds of books and with a Kindle, Nook or iPad I'd have to choose between one or the other. So, allow physical copies to ship with download codes and you'd solve a pretty huge problem.
@DigitalTransfer I like this idea. I'd be willing to pay a little extra at the register to get a digital copy as well, but I'd never let a Kindle completely replace my books and I refuse to but both at full price or however much downloads sell for.
@fanofcavs because the ipad is a tablet while the kindle is an e-reader and it's sole purpose is so you can read books conveniently so it is lighter and smaller than the ipad and it has e-ink which is better for your eyes
@fanofcavs Because it's bad for your eyes to read text for a long period of time on the iPad. It can cause eye strain and give you head aches, etc. Kindle was MADE for reading.
To be fair the kindle is shit for reading comics and magazines currently, make the screen expandable to A4-A3 size and full colour then maybe you can run this ad without letting people down
Bring back Friends Commercials miss them they are engaging and most likeable pair so now your ad minds have to bring it to new funny level. I am waiting for the next bust of creativity that keep the friendship going. They have a audience I love them they make me smile.

Does anyone else think these ads are really sexist?
Ad's Claim:
Smug woman with her bag= stupid and inferior
Attractive man with his awesome tech gadget= smart and superior
Logical Conclusion:
Attractive intelligent men own kindle. Therefore, I should buy kindle.
Women are stupid smug and clearly inferior; therefore, anyone who prefers books over kindle should remind me of a stupid smug inferior woman.
